I stumbled upon Funtrivia.com when the horse racing game I was playing on another site was omitted.

I can see where there is a nice mix of people from around the world here, and I hope to have fun and intelligent discussion with you.

I have seen many parts of Europe, so I can relate to folks from other nations.

Now I am trying to upload a picture of a famous movie actress that I had the honor of chauffeuring to Manhattan once.

I have become an avid collector of vintage movies.

I am excited about being on this colorful site.

Best wishes to everyone.

Hello opentv ! Welcome!
P.S. - And I'd be most interested in hearing more about your vintage film collection!

Welcome opentv! I'm sure you'll enjoy this place and the wonderfully odd mix of people. Vintage films - I have a feeling you just made an instant friend in Gats!

Vintage movies...movies people forgot about, or weren't big hits...and had so much going for them...that interests me.

I have mostly VHS movies, and I favor VHS over DVD. More durable, less likelihood of destruction.

Name the movie, and chances are I have it.

Ever hear of "The Oscar"? "Pay or Die"?
"The Story of Dr. Wassell"? "Woman of Straw"? "To Each his Own"? (Just to randomly name some)

All above are expensive, interesting, even flamboyant.

Hi opentv from across the pond - and welcome. Must admit I've never heard of the films you mention - but look forward to reading more about them!

Hmmm. I spy one semi-classic that I have in those films ("To Each His Own"). One other that I, personally, think is a Top 10 stinker of all time: "The Oscar" . Very eclectic tastes there, opentv !

Diversity, that's what makes for a solid collection, I guess.

"To Each His Own", I need to watch again to appreciate more, because having met Olivia de Havilland, she said she feels "Snake Pit" was her best, and I feel "Hush, Hush Sweet Charlotte" was great...perhaps her best.

The others..."Woman of Straw"...I got lucky and found recently.

Sean Connery in his earlier, pre-Bond days, and Gina Lolabrigida.

"The Story of Dr. Wassell", a Gary Cooper classic by Cecil B. DeMille. Color like is was made yesterday.

"Pay or Die"...Ernest Borgnine with characters that later appeared in a much more popular movie "the Godfather".

And there are much more I can discuss.
