Well the season/series is over...but for what it's worth I know the show has its fans so I thought I'd post a link for anyone wishing to petition CBS to keep it.

BurgGurl,
If it does any good, and I hope it does, I signed it and put in comments as to why they need to give it another season. I know you really like this show, so I did it for you!

I just think television has gone off in a different direction and it's nice to see a show that isn't afraid of being 'retro' in a time of CSI and John Burnett projects. There's a reality show for every subject and a little escapism to a bygone era is a comforting idea. Plus the music is still fun to hear!

Thanks for signing it, who knows....maybe it could move to a cable network!

I'll sign that petition, too - even though I have "a few" issues with the program . The thing is, none (not any) of those issues is such that they can't be smoothed over AND I really think (with lapses, just like any other brand new series) "Swingtown" gets better each week overall. The characters (of which there are many) flesh out better each time, the story lines tighten ... it keeps getting (that oft-used word in situations like this) *legs*! The era and the characters as they explore it leave the door open for endless opportunity for quality television. I'd also like to see it stay, especially, so that the networks go back to giving a show a chance to grow on its audience. This one could (and probably will). No one could realistically be expected to significantly grasp 3 distinct families, their kids, their kids' friends, their secondary neighbors, their coworkers, them individually after only 13 episodes !! The networks are ONLY about money and high-brow sponsors (and I understand that as a consideration, I really do). But I understand the lack of consideration given to the audience when they threaten to get rid of a show after so short a time even more. It's really not fair.
