That card is cute. I love the colours you have chosen. Is the flower-disc a CB piece? Can't wait until I get mine ... very shortly. Would love to see a picture of my daughter's Scottish look-alike

Me and Mum have been busy making a few "Male" birthday cards The playing cards are simple die cut elements while we also added peel offs for colour

I love that card Jane, I also bought some playing cards with the idea of making some male cards then drew a blank. I might just pinch your design! I particularly like the idea of putting peeloffs around, that makes such a difference.

Nice job, Jane Male cards are so much harder aren't they?? "Is the flower-disc a CB piece?" yep, it's the scallop circle punch from Stampin Up. I sent this card to my Mum as she was complaining of only picking up windowed letters when she went to the post office - said it bought a tear to her eye. awww Oh and I'm heavily into simple!

I'm heavily into simple as well - makes life easier when inspiration is hard come by Here's the third page I made last week for my goddaughter's album. It's going to be titled 'Daddy's little Princess', but I have yet to find a solution for making up the title. I'm also not sure about keeping the little crown. I intended it to look a little cutesy/funny, but am afraid it looks just a bit naff. If I decide to remove the crown I think I'll make the title more along the lines of 'father and daughter moment' or something similar. Might be more meaningful. Aargh, I wish I could make a decision, but I'm just such a typical Libra.... Only four more pages to go, but I'll have to work hard if I want to finish it within the next week!

I have the perfect quote if you're interested Santanna? You dont' always need a title, some photos like that one speak for themselves I used it on a page of my son and other half. It's a Winnie the Pooh one. Maybe a line along each side of the photo? "If there ever comes a time When we can't be together Keep me in your heart And I'll stay there forever" How did you and what are all the dots in the circle?

Its a super page, Santanna (well they ALL are, and the cards too, everyone. You are all so gifted. I was thinking about the crown on the "princess" . Could you find more of a circlet that goes around her whole head but is much lighter?Maybe using little tiny copies of the corner designs as if it were filigree? The crown looks a bit as if it will fall off, and is a bit heavy in design. Do you get my meaning?

It was 'Craft Exhibition' time again on Saturday. Lynda won a few 'Firsts' with her entries, the quilt that was shown here some time ago being one of them. She retained the cup awarded to the overall winner. This is decided on a points system. In order to bring up the number of entries for the entire group, Mrs TW asked me to give my 'Bee' poem (written to give the grandchildren a bit of amusement) the 'graphics' treatment. Below is the result. It got a 'First' by virtue of the fact there were only two other poem entries . I'm sure it was the presentation, rather than the literary merit, that swung it for the judge

Well done Mrs and Mr TW!!! Mrs' quilts qre just fabulous I'm certain she more than deserved her wins! Cute poem too, and nicely presented. You more than likely won on merit not on absence of entries As for cardmaking, It's hard enough coming up with feminine cards, let alone trying to be inspired for some guy ones! Your christmas ones are lovely Jane, gotta love the sparkle, eh? Hmm, for my own page, thanks for the feedback folks. The crown is definitely going. It is a bit cumbersome for such a teensy little human, isn't it? I really like your suggested quote, Copago. Now how on earth do I get that on the page? My handwriting is woeful and would ruin any layout Oh, for the dots, I traced the circle in pencil very lightly using a dinner plate for the outline. Then I went over it with my tube of Tulip textured fabric paint, trying not to deviate too much from the circle and trying not to be too wobbly. Some dots are a lot bigger than others, and the spacing's not brilliant, but overall it looks OK (I think). Squeezing that tube 'just right' gets very tedious by the time you're quarter of the way round, believe me!

Yes, that crown has to go. Martin, can we see the words of the whole 'pome' please, I can't read them all and from what I can read it is worth reading the lot. Tell Lynda well done, she is just so talented.

There yer go. It's this one ... I went inside my shed And found a bee, stone dead What a shame it had to die Never more to hum and fly It never made the honey That ends up in a tummy Or flew around some ears Having fun with human fears When it didn't come back for hours After visiting the flowers It must have caused a buzz Like missing family does Lots of words in bee were said But I bet no 'bzzzz' ever lead To the fact the bee just flew inside My shed and simply ...went and died.

I love it, that is great Martin. On the subject of dead bees, earlier this year I found two dead on my bedroom floor within inches of each other, very odd as I keep that sliding door closed and my bedroom door closed. Oh, that was off-topic - apologies to the moderators.

Santanna - you could use rub-ons? Or stamps? or print it out and cut each word out and stick it along the edge. All much more time consuming though than handwriting Clever thing with the circle of dots! hehe Tellies!

I am glad to see there are no flowers, I checked the entries in the General Challenge (I assume that is what this is for) and found 22 which broke the rules either by having a flower or by not being at least 50% pink.
Very nice, and good luck.

Nice one, little mate. (and thanks for humouring us, everyone else!) Here is a christmas card I did yesterday - really liked how it came out. Just the flap with the snowglobe lifts up so the front is only half the card front .. if that makes sense. Just used clear embossing powder and snow stamps around the snowman - don't think that will show up in the photo much.

Wow, Conor, you worked hard! That island is really cool! Don't forget to show us when you add in the beach hut Love the card, Copago, even the green (not one of my favourite colours). It works well. The shading in the pine trees is great.
