Does anyone have one of those new Mini Netbooks? Dell was on QVC last night. I noticed though that it has Windows XP. I thought they had stopped coming out with Windows XP awhile back.
One of the funny things is they were showing the case that you carry it around in and it was a purse. Why would a guy want to carry a purse?

For the first time in years I watched all of 5 minutes of QVC and it happened to be the Dell segment on mini netbooks. (sp?)

Lo and behold, their memory is in the megabytes, not Gigabytes. They even said that one should use a memory stick for all your files. The cost was around $499, wasn't it? I call that cheap and obsolete.... Sometimes you actually get what you pay for. Cute? yes. Sensible and useful? Nah.

For $599 you can get a fairly decent computer for all your computing needs.

If you want a tiny computer that you can take along (bring your own keyboard, mouse and screen), there's http://www.apple.com/macmini/

This HP is small and has 512MB RAM and 2GB of storage...
