Between my son and myself, we have 3 ipods. He has one nano on which he listens to songs (and the occasional music video), I have a nano on which I listen to songs (and the occasional music video) and I have an iPod - one of the 160Gb ones that I have a couple of audiobooks and movies stored on for those long nights at work (and heaps of songs and quite a few music videos too).

I also have two separate iTunes accounts which I run on two separate computers - one for work, who are happy to pay for audio-text books for my work, as well as a few EMT-related podcasts, and a private one through which I pay for my personal purchases (the movies, the music, the music videos).

HOW ON EARTH do I combine all of these onto the one iPod - the 160 Gigger? Surely there is a way that it can be done, I'm just so techno-challenged I can't seem to get it to work without dumping all of the stuff from one computer to the other and to be accused of file-sharing (which I don't do because I'm against it - and it's illegal as far as I'm aware).

Can anybody help me? Please?

You should be able to simply drag and drop the songs onto your iPod.

I've tried this, but it keeps wanting to take all of the songs OFF my iPod that belong to the other account.

*sigh*

Do you have it set to automatically sync your iPod? If so, this is why it's taking off all the songs.

Thank you, LadyMcb29!

I'm so techno-challenged it's not funny.

I now realise that you can have material from up to 5 different accounts on your iPod, and you can have them from different computers too! AND if you don't automatically sync them - it doesn't take off the stuff that you already have from another computer or another account (both of which are in my name, just one for work and one for home).

It helps if you read the FAQ's - and if you read the current ones. For some reason, I was reading some out of date ones or material that wasn't 100% correct.

Thank you for your help,
Ec
