Thanks to one of Terry's latest innovations, I have discovered that, although I have played 7,510 quizzes, I have only rated 7,165. So, if you wrote one of the 345 quizzes I neglected to rate, sorry!

Oh wow!

I've only rated just over 2000 of the 15000 and some quizzes I've played! I thought it was way more than that.

It took awhile before I realized I could, and was supposed to, rate but I didn't know I'd missed that many.

Sorry all!

Okay, where is this information? I would love to have a look at mine.

Agnes, there should be a link in the stats box of your user profile - next to the number of quizzes played.

Of 1517 quizzes I completed, I rated 1477 of them.

To the 40 I missed rating, I apologize. I will pay better attention to detail in the future.

Thank you to the 1517 creators of said quizzes. They were educational and a great deal of fun. More please? When you have the time, that is.

Oh wow this is a great addition I somehow missed rating 163 of 4857 quizzes played, I can only think it was when I was a newbie!

guitargoddess, I'm too ashamed to put my stats here! I can only plead the newbie excuse, and also I'd been here a while and played loads of quizzes before I got into writing them seriously, so didn't realise how much it matters. I don't think it even occured to me to look at the ratings for my first couple of quizzes.

I've missed rating 901 out of 12,121 quizzes. Like many of you, I had been playing for a while before I noticed the rating facility, so I'll join in the apologies. It took me some time to come across the Quizzyland notes as well, so apologies also to the people who sent me nice complimentary notes back in 2002 or thereabouts and didn't get a thank-you for them.

I've missed about 700 of my 3000-odd, but I'll plead editorial duties for most of them - sometimes I play a quiz in order to check something; usually don't even check off answers or read any questions beyond the problem one.

Also, it took me some time to figure out how to rate a quiz after I sent a compliment to the author - couldn't always get back to the right page.

agony,

That is precisely how I missed rating quizzes. I would first send a compliment to the author, get redirected back to the home page, not realising that the tab to the quiz page was still open. Then, I thought that I was unable to rate the quiz I had just played. I think this happens to many people.

It's too bad, too, as those are the quizzes I'd have rated the highest!

I sadly also just figured this out. I had stopped sending compliments directly after the quiz. First I would give them their excellent/good rating. Then I would find their profile and send a compliment from there.

If I want to compliment in addition to rating a quiz, I right click on the 'Send a compliment' so a new window opens up. It makes it a lot easier!

This is something I didn't know about. I've just checked & can see that out of 2020 quizzes played, I've failed to rate 37 which isn't too bad. Most of those were probably in my earlier days here when I was confused and still finding my feet! There have been a couple of times when I've played a quiz and forgotten to rate it, but I usual hit the 'back' key until I can give it a rating. It's only fair to rate the quiz, after all a lot of work will have gone into it (usually).

I have played 5779 quizzes and it shows that I have only rated 173, even though I have the quiz rater badge. I am very careful to rate the quizzes. I just now played two more quizzes and it showed that I played the quizzes. It did not show that I rated them even though I did. I don't know what the problem is.

Honeybee, I have done this several times....

If you keep the rating at "Select" it will not count as a rating, but it will count towards the badge. You must change it to excellent, good, average, poor, or very poor. Maybe this is what is happening to you?

According to my stats, I've only rated 279 of the 1,684 quizzes I've taken...It seems like I rated more than that, though.

I have failed to rate 127 of the 2642 quizzes I've played thus far. Some of those were due to ignorance of the rating feature, and some to the redirection when submitting corrections/complimenting. But in recent years (at least the last 5), I'm happy to report that I haven't missed rating a single quiz.

Another source of non-rated quizzes in my case is the daily brain twists in the GC. The rating option is not offered. I have rated every quiz I've taken that is not part of the GC or hourlies or the Brain Twist. I would venture to guess that this is true of a lot of folks out there.

People keep trying to guilt trip me here... out of the 240 I've played, I've only rated... TWO! Yes - two. 2. Dos.

However, I really want to re-play them and rate them. How do you find a list of past quizzes you've played? I found a list before, but can't re-find it.

Sue (shuehorn),
I agree with you. I always rate quizzes and I know that the 500 and some I haven't rated are mainly from playing the Brain Twists in GC. I'm sure also, like most people, I probably missed a few when I first started playing.

funnybunni,
You won't get a score for replaying them, but if it's that important to rate them, you can do that. I don't know how a non-gold member can find what quizzes they have played though.

1385/1422. I think I saw the rating box more or less when I first played, and must have lost track of the few I missed when sending messages. But more or less as I expected so not at all disappointed just missing 37.

It is funny how many of us miss whole sections of the site as however much you look there's always a little word hiding somewhere that leads to a whole new area. Part of the adventure I suppose.
