This is a little boy in one of our Saturday programmes.

He is enthralled at listening to 'Jonathon Oboe!' One of our music teachers, on the recorder

I took this photo last year at one of the best concerts I've ever been to - well, it wasn't so much a concert as dinner with a show. The artists performing are (from left to right) Jim Keays, Russell Morris and Darryl Cotton. They were three of Australia's biggest stars in the 1970s. Jim Keays was from the group Master's Apprentices and Darryl Cotton was from Zoot. Russell Morris is one of my favourite musicians.

These tiny (about 2") copper figures, were found for 10p each in a box of broken plastic toys at a car boot sale. I just had to rescue them!

I don't know Santana ...
it doesn't sound like music to me unless it is coming from up over a hill at least ten miles away, lol. But they sure do dress purdy

Catching up on all the wonderful pix - everyone has illustrated "music" so nicely.

I wish I could name the tune this musical couple dance to. It was an instrumental hit in the 60's (something like the Van Der Valk theme music ..but not). It was bought by the children for Mrs TW as either a Mother's Day or Birthday present in 1976. A miracle it still works!

What a shame! I had better not bring my bagpipes when I come a-calling on you, I guess?

Talking of which ... I could photograph them to put in this thread, or look out a photo of me playing them in my wedding dress, wouldn't that be nice? :-D ... *writes note on hand for when she gets home from work*

These are all fantastic "Music" themed photos! Here's one from the Happiest Place on Earth: Disneyland. (And Pluto is one of my favorites! )

My djsgal those are the saddest musicians I have ever seen!
Pluto threw my husband out of a resturant during a character breakfast when we went to Disney. At least he looks like he is having fun.

Too true Lady, the musicians look as if they are thinking, "jeez, another day, another tune, another dollar." When if fact, what they really need is a bit of the old Chuckles saying, "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants." But I really like happy, dancing Pluto!

I know, aren't they looking morose! I don't know why the long faces, maybe it was just a bad moment. Of course we can forgive the tuba player.

I'll add in yet another 'piper' themed photo. This shot was taken at Kilkenny Castle (Ireland) in July 1996. It's a shot of the St Laurence O'Toole Pipe Band, of Dublin - one of the greatest pipe bands the Republic of Ireland has ever put on a competition field. Most of these guys are friends and acquaintances of mine (one of them is now my husband ).

I was thinking of adding yet another photo of pipers, as I love pipe music, but decided to go with this drummer on his own instead. He and the pipers I thought of showing belong to the re-enactment group at the Citadel in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and put on a good show.
