What gorgeous cats, SOTHC! I wouldn't mind seeing more photos of them in the future.

An unusual larger than lifesize sculpture of seated figures in Canary Wharf, London.

I agree with ClaraSue. Those cats are gorgeous. Hopefully we get to see more of them SOTHC.

From a recent trip to South Central Colorado near the Conejos River.

Thanks, Professer, but those are elk.

(-8

A friend of mine runs sporting game tours and he said many tourists have asked "When do the deer turn into elk?" Rather than explain they are two different species, he just says, "Between 2 and 3 years."

Another view from my history, this was by the corner of the road where my grandparents lived in Highgate until I was 15.

Lovely pumpkins!

This is one of many, many decoy ducks carved by my brother-in-law's late father. It sits, along with a few others on my sister's deck, and I thought they all looked extra-special today, glistening-wet after the rain.

A perfect reflection on our local canal. The canal boat is a dredger; not a common sight.

Thanks all for another gallery of great photos. I am amazed how fast they pile up on me!

Love the pic of Bill and Fred - and their names, SOTHC!

Very interesting architecture, I agree, djsgal.

Gary, The otter and story are great.

Spanishliz, the gentleman must've enjoyed his hobby as his decoy is most beautiful.

The otter and Topper are both too adorable.

And Picquro, what a nice reflection! It's always fun when there are more clouds below, rather than above, the main subject matter!

Love all the photos - the pumpkins, otter, sculptures, reflection, tropical birds, elk, decoys, etc., etc.

At the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History, this is the Docent Quilt, created in 2001 and depicting scenes of displays in the museum.

What wonderful pictures, all. The quilt hanging is right down my alley. I absolutely love the way they placed the blocks.

(22 pounds! - egads! My little one is only 8. Glad she is a house cat, she would never be able to defend herself out in the big world...)

Oh, those look yummy, cinnam0n!

djsgal, That quilt is beautiful, what detail.

I missed the decoys, Liz. They are something my dad used to collect, but your's have a special story behind them. How neat.

On my first visit to the Scottish Highlands there were 3 places i wanted to see Culloden, Eilean Donan Castle and the delightful village of Plockton, As my Girlfriend drove us towards the village she slammed on her breaks and said look, I did and this was the site that greeted us

Was the first time either of us had ever seen Highland cows so close, is a memory i will cherish till the day i die.
