Surprising to see that tree in the middle of a big city, Sats!

Here is the new kitchen - the closed door is that same door from the last photo. Quite a difference. Since the old kitchen was sooooo old I wanted to keep something from it and put it in the new kitchen so that black framed door at the bottom of the photo in the island is a door from the original wood stove.

I know how satisfying it is to get a new kitchen, it's still a pleasure to use mine as well.
That tree was a real surprise. I walk around with my camera now most of the time and I turned the corner and it was there. It could be a maple (someone will tell me) but whatever it is we don't seem to have them anywhere else although this has clearly been there a long time. Always a surprise sooner or later.

I was hoping someone would know!

Love the meerkats, love the waterfalls and the gorgeous tree. Copago, your new kitchen is a dream! Really like that you have kept the old oven door, too.

Here's another pretty autumn tree.

Thanks for the kitchen comments. We still ust stand it and just look around at the difference.

Where was the gorilla, bhs? He looks like a wise old man sitting there.

Today's offering. He was passing the side fence last night.

You have kangaroos in your back yard? All I can manage are a couple of raccoons!

The gorilla is at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.

Gorgeous tree, Sat! Yours, too, Liz! I just love the colors. Lily, your park scene looks so nice and relaxing. Neat looking bridge, Prof. Everybody's animal pics are great.

Here's another animal. I warned you that you're going to get tired of photos of Alex , but he looked like such a little teddy bear here, I couldn't resist.

Alex is so sweet! I won't get tired of pics of him, promise.

Here's a pretty flower, growing on the fence around the nearby school's soccer (football) and lacrosse pitch.

Liz, you have some very nice scenery where you live. I follow quite a few internet photographers around from Canada as the views are so good.

Here is a little road off the one I lived in for over half my life in Hamsptead Garden Suburb. It is still odd visiting it like a tourist when it was home for 28 years. By the way, this road is literally a 'dead end' as it stops at the cemetery wall. And a lovely cemetery it is as well actually.

Copago, I forgot to mention that I like your new kitchen. That's really neat what you did with the old stove door!

Eliean Donan Castle they charge you £8 for the privilidge to walk over the bridge and to walk around the castle. It is a expensive bridge to cross and have never felt inclined to do so. But it is my favourite place to visit on the west coast of scotland.
