Again, the North Sea - but this time 'The Wash', taken late yesterday pm. This body (me) did have a paddle and it was surprisingly warm. On the horizon - counties of Norfolk to the left and Lincolnshire to the right.

Bedford Basin, the inner harbour of Halifax, Nova Scotia, taken from the train as I was leaving the area a couple of weeks ago. It's a peaceful scene now, but during both World Wars was full of ships forming into convoys to cross the Atlantic. The bridges in the distance span The Narrows, leading to the outer Halifax Habour and mark the spot where the ships Mont Blanc (a munitions ship) and Imo collided in December 1917, resulting in the largest man-made explosion prior to the atomic bomb and devastation of a large part of Halifax.
On a happier note, my hotel was across the road from Bedford Basin, so I had a grand view each morning

Not a very big body of water as I don't have access to one right now, but water nonetheless. A swamp in South Carolina.

Great theme; I've posted many sailing images in Photo-a-Day, so decided to dig into my archives for something different.
This is Gokyo Lake 3, at just under 5,000 metres in the Everest region of the Himalayas. The seven Gokyo lakes are all sacred to the Buddhist religion, and I washed in five of them
Few people make it to the upper lakes, but my Swedish friend Thomas and I made it to the higher and much colder Gokyo Lake 5 - as you can see from this image

While looking in the rockpools on the beach in Mozambique, we found this little bunny.

Clara Sue,

Love the swamp pic. Used to live in Virginia and would take walking tours through the Great Dismal. There is something so primitive and primal about swamplands.

Oops! Somehow or other, I have erased a whole page of images from my photobucket account. I will try and repost these a.s.a.p.

This is a small part of Lake Louise in the Canadian Rockies. It appeared to be under armed guard.

Beautiful place Sherry, i can't imagine how you managed to leave it . The swamps are amazing, just amazing. SOTHC i had the biggest laugh, is that a marmot or what? What a great caption you added to it ... smiling all day now.
You all did a wonderful job on the theme, thank you TW for choosing it this week.
