Learning the ropes...

I've heard many times of kids working for only a couple cents an hour in 3rd world countries but seeing how:
1 canadian cent=30 Sierra Leonean Leones
42 guinean francs
200 vietnam dongs
75 indonesian rupiahs
Couldn't making the equivalent to one cent be good in one of these countries? .

I know that in most countries the equivalent to 1 canadian cent isn't that much higher but in these countries 1 cent an hour seems like pretty good money (this is all assuming that my sources at Coinmill.com are right).
or are the prices on everything in these countries just severely overinflated making 200 dongs useless?
I assume the global economy crisis is also affecting this but how would i be able to tell?

Very interesting. You must have researched a bit! It does seem like (with most everything) it IS all relative.

Enjoy your time here. It's pretty great!

Presumably the income must be enough to keep them from becoming too weak from hunger to work.
