The Indian attacks have made me think of Harish and wonder where he went.

And Lothruin - I miss her posts too.

Harish changed his name to achernar and was last active on the main site on 9th November this year. He is at university according to his profile on QL - Sophomore (Engineering Physics), IIT Bombay.

Roos hasn't logged on in the forums since September.

I sent an email to damnsuicidalroos (Cris) to check that all was well and to tell him we miss him. He is fine, just busy. All is well with him and his lovely family.

And I've been thinking of Lanfranco. She's been MIA for a while now.

I'm glad to see you here! I was getting worried. Now, let's see some photos of snow.

Hi Ren, thanks very much for starting this missing thread and asking about me,it`s nice to know that people care and think about me from time to time.

Thanks also to Sue for the email.

Sadly things have changed for the worse since we corresponded and I`m no longer fine, but fortunately my wife and children are!

Eight hours ago I awoke in a hospital recovery room after a colonoscopy and I waited for the doctor to come and tell me the good news that my haemorrhoids had been fixed and all else was fine. The doctor arrived and was very straight forward and didn`t mince words.

"I`m sorry to tell you but you have cancer"

Evidently I have a large cancer tumour in my lower bowels and will very soon be having tests and x-rays,I was also told that they will operate on me in the next couple of weeks.

My poor parents and family have taken it very hard and having to tell my wife Lily was the hardest thing I`ve had to do. I`m still somewhat in a state of shock myself.

I hope that I`ll be able to post happier news after the operation and tests etc have been done.

Take care all.

Oh no! I am so sorry to hear of this, but thank goodness that you were having yourself checked out and that they have found it.

I will keep you in my thoughts and hope that the surgery and treatment go well. My kind regards to Lily and a hug to your two lovely children.

Oh, Roos, I'm sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I can imagine that it was a shock, but you should be forever hopeful, as we all will be, that you'll be back later with good news. I will keep you in my prayers.

I am so sorry, Roos, and will keep you and your family in my thougts and prayers. Cancer is never an easy one, but hopefully with all the new treatments and knowledge, you will do well. Again, it saddens me to hear this.

I am so sorry to hear your sad news Roos.
Last year I've been through that sort of shock myself but finally it all went well. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, hoping you'll be well too after the surgery.

Roos, I don't know you, but wish you well--courage and strength and health and help.

About Shavsey--if that's spelled right, a search on the other side turns up, "User not found." But a Shavsy has recently joined my team, the Wizards.

About Lanfranco--I miss her very much, and none of us at Ask Fun Trivia know what's become of her. Two months ago I was able to contact someone who knows her personally and at that time she was alive and well. Why we don't see her here is a mystery.

Roos ~ sorry to hear of your bad days as they are landing at the moment. It kinda felt like somebody kicked me in the gut when I read your post (and I've no clue how you must be feeling, as you await things). But I know this: you're a good guy, a smart and observant traveller in the world - AND a purposeful and inclusive spirit. Given all that? My hopes for you are (and always have been) as positive like lightning is electric. Hang in there!

Sorry to hear your bad news Roos. Thinking of you and your family, especially at this time of year.

Qp, it could be the same Shavsy, she used to play here all the time, then just dissapeared.
