Paul Benedict, best known as the eccentric English neighbor Mr. Bentley on "The Jeffersons", has died on Martha's Vineyard at age 70. He also acted in such films as "The Goodbye Girl".

I read that a few days ago on Wikipedia.

He was very memorable, I'll always remember him fondly from that role. Even now I can still see George Jefferson walking on his back whenever he'd throw it out. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Mention of him brings back memories of my childhood...yes, I watched the Jeffersons a lot. It's very sad to hear of his passing.
