And the long awaited for second great grandson arrived for Mum this evening "Baby number two" arrived safe and sound, a baby boy, just over seven pounds. No names yet but the most important thing is that Mum and Baby are fine

I have been away but saw the picture of the new arrival and had to come and find out more. Congratulations Aunty Jane. Have they decided on a name yet?

Exams went well - English Literature: 97.5%, Maths - 75%, Japanese - 94%, Chemistry - 83%, Music - 85% theory, 86% prac, English Language - 85%

So, depending on whether an A is 80 or 85% (can never remember), I got 5 As and one B, or 4 As and 2 Bs.

My high yesterday was my niece in Australia giving birth to a baby boy. He is my great nephew and the first on my side of the family. My 84 year old moms first great-grandchild.

Awww that's so brilliant, Lady! I bet one little boy will be spoilt to death!

Things got even better when I saw the photos of the little darling. Sadly still no name.

High of my week is that mum has her car back from the Mechanic's. so I can drive again!

High of my week is today I bought a car. Having owned a car since I was 19 always meant freedom to me, freedom to go whereever whenever I wanted. For the last 3 years I have been car-less, and while the bus system here is excellent - reliable, extensive and cheap, it's just not the same. At first I didn't miss it, but as time went on, there were many times I wondered "what's up that road that the bus doesn't go?", not to mention the inconvience of hauling groceries etc home.

I forsee many day trips with the dog in the back, the camera at my side, and the ability to stop wherever I want to. I'm soooo happy to have my total freedom back!

Congrats Mags and may you have many miles of discovery while driving your new car. They say you don't know what you've got till its gone.

Low of the week is that I'm sick, and may have whooping cough, and therefore may have to miss a week of school. I'll miss so much!

Hope you get better soon Lioness, I'd have been far sorrier had it happened in the school holidays like my appendix did on the first day of them.

After a few weeks of Youtube gradually grinding to a halt regardless of what I did to try and fix it, I got a little popup today telling me to uninstall ZoneAlarm from my security system. I did this and guess what, everything suddenly started working again, and heard someone else had a similar effect on it from theirs. I watch a lot of videos and wondered how long it would be before I could again.
