I used to work at the advertising agency he did his Maxwell House ads for. All the producers raved about him - of all the "names" they worked with, he was by far the greatest gentleman, and just a really nice guy.

Yes between film and television, he was incredibly prolific over the decades, appearing in a vast number of shows.

Patrick McGoohan, who like Ricardo, had an amazing body of movie and tv work behind him, but is probably best known for his tv roles in " Danger Man" and "The Prisoner" also died this week. I was only rewatching " Braveheart" before Xmas and there he was as Edward the Longshanks. He passed away on Tuesday aged 80.

Another beloved figure from my youth gone. I'll always remember Fantasy Island. It might have been camp, but I watched it all the time as a child. Sad to see such a dignified and nice figure go. May he rest in peace.

For years, my friend and I have enticed each other into trying new dishes and
'living on the edge' in some way- smiling broadly and plying the other person with a heavy Ricardo acccent..."As you can see, thees PRO-duct ees made off RICH Co...RIN...thian leatheeer, my frien's."

Ah, may the Great One rest in peace.
