I just watched "Saw V" and was browsing the internet, and according to imdb.com, another "Saw" movie, ("Saw VI"), is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on October 23, 2009.
Are they going too far? Will this be another "Friday the 13th" or "A Nightmare on Elm Street"?

Do you think they should've stopped, perhaps after the 1st one?

I loved the first Saw movie especially and not quite so much each one after. Maybe it goes a bit too far in the gore department but I do think they are clever.

I just recently saw the Saw V movie...I really liked it. I don't look at it as 'overkill' I like all of the movies; just my opinion.

Barely! I'm a squeamish person anyway, & not once have I been able to watch (with both eyes open) all the gory & gruesome things that happen!

I could never watch any of the Saw movies. Some horror movies I can do (love original "Night of the Living Dead", "Halloween" etc), but I'm scared to death of saws. Really really hate them. Weird phobia - unless you watch the movie, apparently. Then it doesn't seem so weird?

So long as the storyline continues linking everything together and keeps up the good work with the brilliantly subtle (such that I miss nearly all of them) in-film clues, then the series could go on ad infinitum. "Saw I" was OK though the acting of the doctor left a lot to be desired, but from then on they have been consistently good films. My favourite is still "Saw II".

I think the first saw movie was ok, but the rest are all alike. I do like violence and gore, but I also like a good story line. I just got tired of following it and just skip do the deaths.
