Took me a moment to spot him! Those little guys are so cute

This is the Saturnmobile, my beloved car. It has 206,000 miles on it, and it still runs great.

Jill, it's not even close to 40F here let alone 40C. If the water doesn't freeze we feel blessed at the moment.

Having read up previously I had never seen one of these signs in my life before as painting B roads on white on black was only done in the 1920s. This is one of two in Southwark (I missed the other but it's identical) as the road was blocked tonight but they may be the only left in Britain. There's one the other side of the road in the usual colours but not much newer.

I didn't go at night as I'm weird, they charge to go there in the day and you're not allowed to park so no choice unless you go at weekends and the traffic's not great then either.

The view of Table Mountain from a different angle.
We are driving down to Cape Town next week so will have more South African pictures for you the week after.

Hey Lady1, that's my view of Table Mountain that I see everyday when I walk out of my front door. Unless of course it's a misty day.

If you look closely you can see my house, lol.

Great shots everyone. Nothing but snow here, so here is Halemaumau Crater at Kilauea Volcano Hawaii. This was taken last February 2008. The steam at the left side of the photo is a deep vent and as moisture from the surface hits the hot magma below it gives off steam.

One month later that vent erupted spewing ash and rocks some distance from the vent. The area where I took this photo is now closed as is the parking lot some distance away.

I snapped this tonight as Hoshi was busy watching TV (Psyche, for the curious). The only way I could catch him sitting still for a moment!

Great bird photo! Lovely flowers, and Hoshi's a real cutie - love the blue eyes and the one ear up, one ear down attitude.

Spotted this vehicle whilst out for a walk this afternoon. Despite the warmer weather, I don't think this one's going anywhere for awhile!

LOL that is well and truly stuck! How long would it take for that kind of snow to melt away, Liz?

That photo of Hoshi makes him look like a stuffed toy

Except I don't have to walk a stuffed toy 8 times a day!

He'll be 3 months old on the 14th. He's growing so fast - if I didn't have the pictures to look back on I wouldn't believe he was so little just a few weeks ago! In 4 weeks he's doubled in size, I swear.

I'm very glad he's kept his blue eyes, though.

Thought I would try and post a photo of the fire that was about 3km from my home last week. I hope I have got the size right!

This was the beginning of a fire that burnt out 50 hectares of land. There were 65 trucks, 4 water bombing aircraft and over 300 firefighters fighting the fire.

The fires that are burning now in Victoria are much worse, wiping out whole towns unfortunately.

Sorry! I think I've made it too small.. (just learning with my "L" plates on.)

Not as destructive as Choco Nut's fire but I stopped last Friday to take a quick snap of the dust blowing. The wind was really rocking with advisories for travel out that afternoon.

If the weather were to stay as mild as it has been the last couple of days, and it doesn't snow again, and it gets some direct sunlight, maybe a week.

Today's warmish weather and sunshine encouraged Katt to venture outside onto the deck for the first time in a couple of months. He couldn't figure out how to find his salad (the grass) though

Great photos everyone, the truck seems to be peeping with one eye from behind the snow! poor thing!, Tredici, your shot is beautiful (as usual) and silvermoon, i love your dog! he is so cute he made me want to stroke his fluffy hair! here's a fellow he can play hours with, my Golden Retriever, "Muro", he is tireless though he ceased to be a puppy years ago! the proof is that his eyes point insistently to his ball, which he dropped by accident inside the pool (the ball he had been playing with aaaaaall morning )
