OK then(jumps on bandwagon) Here is my Gnawra, a day or two after we rescued her from the village rubbish bin. She had been thrown in there and it was pouring with rain. She was about 8 days old and she survived!

later

even later..

And bless you Ren for making the save. It pains me how cruel people can be, but their actions only give the good a chance to be better.

I've been enjoying this part of the forums for more than a year and I'm going to try to join in now.

Yesterday I had visited one of the nearby islands for a picnic. This picture was taken just before leaving.

Edited to add that I still haven't figured out how to correctly resize it.

Here is a pic of my good old girl Jordan, laying in her favorite place. If anyone remembers the series of photos that had the antique sewing machines, I had mentioned having 2. That is one of them behind her and it still works perfectly. She has heard me 'ooing' and 'awwing' over all the pups and kitties and I think she is very upset with me right now.

Beautiful photos from all of you, thank you.

While we are sharing baby pictures, this is Tigger shortly after we rescued him. He just had his first bath and was sitting on Hubby's shoulder. You can see the lens of his glasses and figure out how small he was. I edited out the rest of his face, but Tigger's head was about the size of the glasses lens.

For those who don't know, we resuced Tigger from an IHOP parking lot as we were moving from Florida to North Carolina. The folks in the IHOP knew he was there but told us they hadn't fed him, so he was living on whatever he could catch (insects and such). They were just going to let him starve. Poor little baby. He is obviously doing very well now.

You can find pics of him here:

picqero,
That looks more like one I would have seen in the 1970's. Something of a 'refined' psychedelic VW bus!

Funnily enough here's another Hertfordshire photo in a row. This is the centre of Hertford, and anyone who remembers watching Camberwick Green will see the similarity. I didn't know I'd cut the animal's head off until it was too late. It's a deer and this is Parliament Square as I've just checked.

This is Squirmer the Wyrm, who I think looks a lot like Tigger. Squirmer showed up on our porch one evening when he was about three months old. We tried to find his owners, but no luck. We live near a park where a lot of cats get dumped so we think he may have been abandoned. We didn't really need another cat, but the shelters were full, and he was too little to leave outside so he's part of the family now.

He DOES look a lot like Tigger, but Squirmer has more noticeable stripes. Tigger isn't a full Main Coon, I believe he's also Somali, and his coat is more solid ginger. He has some stripes if you look closely, and he certainly had more when he was younger.

He's a gorgeous cat, though! I'm sure he's very pleased you rescued him.

Good morning everyone, today I treat you to a traditional Argentinian beverage, drunk anytime of the day (almost at all times), preferably with family or friends and a must when you are on the road (as in this case): the "mate", made with dried leaves of "yerba mate" hope you like it!

Love all the beautiful kitties and pups. Want them ALL !! Sherry, your photo makes me miss "you know where". Looks like we are getting a skiff of the stuff today like in your photo - the mounds of the white stuff had just all melted away this week .

Around Vancouver Island there are a number of different archipelagos - this is of a trip this autumn past among the Discovery Island group. The background is Buckley Bay on the east coast of Van Isle. departing for Denman Island, to catch another ferry to Quardra Island. These are 'day trips' I like to take to take photos. The mountains you see are about mid-island (Van Island). Waaaay to much information I am sure ...

Where's our Gary? Missing him here since he came back from Scotland!

This cactus has been growing in our garden for over 10 years and this is the first year it has flowered. The flower is not fully open yet.

The snow has finally gone here but this is a rural view near Hertford while it was still around. I think it's a grouse in the foreground but someone will know.

I have so enjoyed looking at everyone's photos. The FTer's sure do have some fine looking pups and kitties. Sandy, your sewing machine looks exactly like the one I have. And welcome, zorba, I look forward to more photos from you.

My computer has been in the shop to have everything wiped out and a new operating system loaded. I've been using hubby's computer in the meantime, but all my photos and programs were on my computer. Once I get everying reloaded, I hope to be back posting.

Not so sure about grouse in Hertfordshire Sat, looks a bit like a Fieldfare, but probably a partridge sans pear tree.
