A road I traveled just a week ago.

I see those cycles parked there, surely to goodness people were not stupid enough to ride cycles with cars slipping about?

I haven't cycled this week because of the conditions but I have seen some cyclists out and about. Getting around on a bike must be 'interesting' I suppose.

I don't know about interesting, stupid come to mind. Cars are slipping and bikes are not exactly fourwheel drive, so what if one falls off and into the path of a car which slips when breaking - don't answer that, sheesh.

What ever happened to your sense of adventure, where is the British stiff upper lip, we are invincible attitude. I am tempted to tell you all how in my youth I would cycle for miles in all weathers to get work, how I would then sit all day with wet soggy trousers until it was time to cycle home again, did I worry about about a few sliding cars or the 12 inch's of snow fall that that could leave me stranded for weeks in deepest Twickenham,
However I won't tell that story now instead Ill make a nice cup of Hot chocolate and turn up the heating. ( CHEERS)

One of the better roads in Mongolia.

I've managed to keep cycling (mountain biking) during the recent snow, mainly off road in the nearby Lea Valley Regional Park, and definitely not on any main roads.
I even managed to get out on cross country skis for several hours, which was superb

Beautiful road picqero! Here's one I travelled during my vacations, in the middle of nowhere, only possible with an ATV as the road is so narrow

This road is in Yellowstone National Park.

Taken while trekking during the monsoons. There is a way down from the edge, we were just not brave enough to attempt it.

Beautiful shot, argus, and zorba_scank, your's made me dizzy - I have a horrid thing about heights and open spaces though.

This is the road we travel when we go diving in Sodwana Bay and Mozambique. The trees on either side are the (mostly) pine forests owned by one of the large paper manufacturers in South Africa.

This street , in Sha Tau Kok , which is in the border area, is half in China and half in Hong Kong. It makes for rather strange shopping trips, you have to have a pass to go into the area anyway.The line down the middle shows the crossing point.

The short straight road from Bridgnorth high street to the church on top of the hill.

Morning commute and the moon still being out couldn't be resisted. So I jumped of the highway to travel this road, instead.
