Don't know if the world outside of Australia is aware, but the state of Victoria is having the worst bushfires ever. At least 170+ people are dead, with the death toll expected to climb past 200. Several towns have been completely destroyed.
It seems as though at least some of the fires were deliberately lit.
What sort of low life can do things like that ??
Just hope all our Victorian FTers are ok.
Western Australia also has had deliberately lit fires, both in Kings Park ( the large area of bushland overlooking the Swan River)and in the South West.
Can't we just lock up these morons and throw away the keys ?

PS Just to make it interesting, Queensland is having floods, and my best wishes go out to anyone who is experiencing Australia's climatic extremes.

Nice thought tezza
I agree with throwing away the key!
I hope you are all safe over there and everything is under control.

There are some thoughts also for this on this link.

I'm closing this thread, because we already have a topic about the Victoria bushfires in the Current Events forum. (I think that's where MarchHare's link was supposed to lead but somehow that link isn't working for me.)
