These are Blue Reeds, Marlins and Floats amid agave and aloe plants

A few miles to the north of us lies the village of Cold Christmas, an interesting name for a nondescript place - blink and you'll miss it and this is the road sign leading to the village.
Nearby there's a derelict and supposedly haunted church

Sun out, temperature climbing, so went to the park and found an agreeable mix of formal flower beds and wild flower planting, as below:

PDAZ, how long is that Chihuly exhibit going to be? I love the pic you posted today!! Might need to take a trip out to Arizona.

What super photographs amongst this months selection. I have spent ages looking at them all, so forgive me if I don't comment on them, I shall be here until midnight.

My contribution is Hexham Abbey in Northumberland, England. It was taken a couple of weeks ago, when all the crocus were in full bloom. The daffodils are taking over now, will have to have a trip back there.

I saw the Chihuly glass at Kew Gardens a couple of years ago, it was very impressive and included a film of him at work and a number of items were on sale as well.

This is the Hogsmill River in Kingston just before it meets the Thames.

It's so good to see spring popping up in so many places!

This picture isn't pretty, and it's a repeat, but ("Butt") this is the last day of Colon Cancer Awareness Month here in the US, and the prep for a colonoscopy, shown here, is A LOT easier than having colon cancer.

And (now picture me up on a soapbox yelling and waving my fist) don't for a minute assume this is a disease that only hits people over 50 years old, even though the public-service ads continually reinforce that notion. Of the 141,405 people in the US diagnosed in 2005 with CC, approximately 10% of those were in their 20s, 30s and 40s.

So if you are due for a colonoscopy, (or have any symptoms, risk factors or just a vague hunch that something's wrong back there) please, please, please make the appointment!
