Beautiful flowers PDAZ and I love the seals Clara!

Yesterday we got slammed by a dust storm. Started getting a little dusty by lunch time and then this happened at about 6pm which was a good couple hours before sunset (so the colour isn't from a setting sun). In there somewhere is a shearing shed. Huge cleanup today - my son's teacher is coming for a homevisit today too .. yikes, hopfully I can get the main bits cleaned up before she gets here!

Mother Nature's destructive force also comes with it's own unique beauty.

I love to see all your photos of the different seasons and the transitions. We have only two seasons - hot and wet.

A landscape typical of our area at this time of year (not much summer fern). I hope it stays like this. There seems to be a policy of returning everything to the heathland it once was. It makes a dreadful mess of the land and generally spoils the countryside in my opinion.

I turned away from the duck-feeding duck hunters of Les Landes and saw the rotted remains of an old jetty. At least, I think it had been a jetty but it was a bit hard to tell!

This is part of the old maltings in the nearby small town of Ware. All the buildings are now converted into homes, bars, restaurants, etc.

I'm not one who normally drinks anything other than a pint of beer or a glass of wine when it comes to alcohol, but after a day at the beach, this looked refreshing.

Another random straight road I spotted in Elstree. This is a dismal estate (this was the best of the roads) and are all named after composers. The fashion of seeming to name the worst roads after the best things or people has not managed to make the roads any better!

Here's a pic of the original longdrop loos for the shearer's huts. A new ablution block was built in the 80s so this has stood lonely since then. Wood heap in the background.

Clouds a few weeks ago. They looked so white and fluffy I had to take some picutes of them.

The longdrop loos made me laugh - I have a book of dunny photos and even a pottery model of one, there's just something so reminiscent of Australia about them, although when I was actually in Australia I never got to use one. Thankfully. LOL.

Yesterday water. Today grass. And water.

This is the view if I look behind me now. I took it just to make sure the new memory card was working before using it.

I liked the dark clouds in yesterday's sunset. A bit grainy, so had to reduce the size. Can't wait till I get my new camera - so many makes to choose from. I'll get there soon....

From today's cycle ride, a bridge across the Basingstoke Canal:

Great to see the Hindustan car as well Zorba, they imported some here as well so have seen them in person. Far nicer than what they make nowadays.
