I wasn't sure where this might go, but it is current.
Has anyone else noticed the complete change in Joaquin Phoenix? I first noticed on Letterman, (which I rarely watch) that Joaquin was almost totally mute, and when he was pressed to answer, well I couldn't even understand him! The guest from hell!

Then I saw a story on my Yahoo page, about his attack on a heckler, in a Miami club. He evidently now considers himself a 'rapper' and NOT an actor. The change is dramatic, but it doesn't look like the everyday drug induced personality, that we see so much of.

I just don't know what to make of it, and wondered if any of you would care to comment.

The change in him is very odd. Like the article on Yahoo suggested, I'm inclined to agree that it may all be a publicity stunt that has gone a bit too far. He is a very gifted actor so it's hard to tell. I'm hoping that it IS an act and that he gets over it soon.
