As mentioned in the "Things starting with B" thread, I'm back and Photobucket appears to be working for me now. I've also been trying to get the larger photo size. Hope this isn't too big!

This is my mother's latest rescue - his name is Bronson. I guess he could have gone in the "B" thread too!

Beautiful orchid BHS, and I'd have rescued Bronson too!
This is the post office in the nearby village of Datchworth. The building has had a varied life, being a post office relatively recently.

Bronson is a very handsome cat. And Flopsymopsy, love that picture. The weather looks a bit threatening for much beach enjoyment but provides a very captivating quality.

Thank you

English beach huts, and those are no exception, are usually painted in bright colours but somehow the image looked better as a more gloomy, threatening winter scene than it did as a winter scene with bright huts, lol. So I changed the colour balance and saturation levels.

That was a really good call to make those changes to the beach huts photo, flopsymopsy. It really made the picture interesting and invoked a particular mood. I love pictures like that. Well done, you!

Thank you all for your kind comments about Bronson. He really is a lovely cat and has a very sweet, affectionate nature which is typical of his breed. He is a rag-doll cat.

Nowhere in England is more than 100 miles from the sea... and where there's sea there are fish, and where there were fish there is empty, tangled gear.

Beautiful photos everyone! The flowers are so pretty and Bronson is one gorgeous cat! Everytime I try to get a shot of a flower, I can't seem to get the color and lighting right.

This is a sculpture of a North American Indian Hunter located in the lobby of Foxwood's Casino and Resort in Preston, Connecticut. Foxwood's is the largest casino in the world. This glass sculpture looks like ice and in the evenings is lit up from within and turns different colors. I'll try tomorrow to remember to post him when he's blue.

Neat sculpture! I'll look forward to seeing him in blue

Here is the Indian sculpture at Foxwood's Casino in the evening all dressed out in blue. And another FT'er kindly pointed out to me that Foxwood's is actually in Ledyard, CT. (Thanks, again)

Fabulous Indian sculpture, definitely best in its lit up state!

Leafless trees on Totteridge village green, an area which I'm sure Satguru knows well
They seem quite late in developing their leaf buds, compared to our local trees which are only about 10 - 12 miles to the east!

We had some daffodil pics earlier. Here are some New York daffodils - the only place they had some room - in this case, up on a pole.

There are actually daffodils in other, lower places around here, but I thought these were kind of cool. This was taken in New York's Midtown next to Bloomingdales Department store.

Maybe someone can help sort out what this pair is. Spotted them on a local lake in a park yesterday evening. I don't believe they are natives so maybe passing through on migration. I kept hoping they would go ashore or fly so I could see what type of legs and feet they had but they were content to patrol the lake perimeter, occassionally ducking heads under water to fish I presume. They stayed quite close together, never more than 2 or 3 feet seperation.
