Another hint of spring. A bit of green showing in the fields.

Tredici, lovely mountains, are they the Rockies?
Yes, Rosie is a gannet.

Oh no ... I just think it's just a phenomenon of sweet white and tabbies when they sprawl . Here's evidence:

My little Jaz with my tuxedo, Joss. See how she makes herself 'look' fat so he'll rest on her tummy? Okay, she has a little tubby tabby on her too, I confess.

I like those distant mountains best, they must be many miles away.

We've had the best show of daffodils ever this year, and these are just a few of the potted ones on the patio.

They're still waiting for springtime in Connecticut.

In Mum's "spare time" ( ) she enjoys painting. A few years ago she did some paintings, and she finally blew them up, and got them framed. I am particually fond of this one.

It was originally done by Auguste Macke

What is an allotment? Is it like a regional pathway?

I'm loving all the photos, as ever. The kitties are lovely

Here's a church on a hill, that will be hidden from this angle once the trees get their leaves.

Ysmay, your kitties are adorable.

Bombay had a lot of textile mills earlier but most of them shut down in the 1980s. This one was turned into a mall recently. The chimney is still there.

Funny , I am sure someone asked this before but I don't know when or where!
An allotment is a little piece of land that you rent (often from the government ) so you can grow stuff if you do not have a garden. Lots of people had an allotment in the war, when we had to grow veg. They can be great fun and very rewarding.

I'm so excited! -- a whole new supply of thread. I guess this could have also been posted under this week's theme "Toys."

Tredici, your Rockies photo is just gorgeous. How much snow did you get this weekend? My sister lives in Denver and is so tired of the snow this year.

We're in Tennessee this weekend and the weather has been just beautiful. It's hard to tell here, but this field was just covered with lavendar colored flowers.

ClaraSue, your sister must live on the southside of the city. Because up North we have had one of the dryest winters ever. Matter of fact, we got no snow out of the weekend storm, just rain. And it was greatly needed. Last Friday morning huge, wet flakes were falling in Denver and we were at the windows at work just mesmerized. The ground temps were up so nothing was sticking. This was the view:

Wow! That's a neat photo; it looks like it belongs in the Image Art thread. My sister lives in the Aurora area and she's just been buried this winter, LOL.

Just for some perspective, here's about the same shot when it was just snowing. As opposed to when it was SNOWING. (-8 Easier to tell the white markings are crosswalks on the pavement.
