I am not joking, I don't cook, ask Sara.
When I was married and living with my husband I cooked every day, always from fresh ingredients and the only comments he ever made were negative, if he enjoyed his meal he said nothing as perfection was what he expected. If it wasn't for me overhearing him once say to someone "Sue is an excellent cook" then I would have thought I was complete rubbish.
I don't like many foods even though I used to cook them for him, vegetables for instance, I eat very few of them. When I left him I didn't need to use Larousse Gastronomique any longer, in fact I left it for him. Then when the children left home, or should I say my daughter as my son ate from the chippy, I stopped 'preparing' meals and just get myself something to eat instead.
Believe me, she is better off with ready meals.
