Oh come on, me bully?

What the lady (and I use that term loosely) is referring to is the first moment we met. In our airport we have to pay for car parking using a machine in the arrivals hall. To save this poor old woman an additional walk I told her to "Stay there a minute" to which she replied "OK Bossy Boots", oh come on, I was TRYING to be nice to the old bag and to save her from wearing herself out!

I had to think twice there.

Policemen are fair game, I wonder if I can get away with walking up to one and asking for a kiss. Perhaps the firemen will do another charity carwash, I got a cuddle from one of them last time.

You're Bad Nightmare!
This is my only chance to see how a craft shop looks like as we don't have any over here.
Well... some say that Sue's home might be very close to a craft shop - can't wait to research that!

Sara, I think there's a misspelling in your text - you meant to write "Sue" instead of "Mada", yes?

Two weeks from now and Mada will be in England at Heathrow waiting for her bus to Gatwick. She not only has to change planes but also airports.

Is a Mudslide similar to a Blizzard? Those Blizzards are really good...yum yum (even at 2am!).

Mudslide is Baileys, Kailua, chocolate syrup, and ice. Haven't had one of those in a LONG time. Real good, though, great late night drink. Good with a shot of vodka poured in too.

True. I saw that and started thinking about those Trader Joe's premade mudslides. Sad thing is I know EXACTLY what goes into them... sigh.

ANYWAYS, hope you two have a good time together and don't get into TOO much trouble!

Nine days.

Oh what sacrifices I am making. Today I thought I ought to get some strawberries, raspberries and some thick cream to make sure it is up to standard, oh dear fancy having to force myself to eat that for the next couple of days.

Then this is the time of year for Jersey Royals, the Brits will know what they are. For the rest of you, they are new potatoes and supposed to be possibly the best in the world. The Queen has them, when they had the G20 the other week they were fed on Jersey Royals at a special dinner, they were specially dug and flown in for Gordon Ramsey to cook.

Next week we can go and buy some from one of the growers, so fresh they will have been dug that day. Yum.

This is almost a doomsday countdown. This all has to affect the timeline of the solar system. It will never be the same again.

Sue could you make a list of all the other 'delicacies' from the area, with the time of year they are available, so we can plan our visits to coincide with the good stuff?

We unfortunately Mada doesn't like seafood other than haddock (so presumably other white fish might be OK too), she particularly doesn't like shellfish and that is our speciality, lobsters, crabs both chancre and spider, various prawns etc. If you like shellfish this is the place to come to for sure.

I am sure I can find plenty for her to eat, even if it is only 'ready meals' from M&S and Waitrose.

I am not joking, I don't cook, ask Sara.

When I was married and living with my husband I cooked every day, always from fresh ingredients and the only comments he ever made were negative, if he enjoyed his meal he said nothing as perfection was what he expected. If it wasn't for me overhearing him once say to someone "Sue is an excellent cook" then I would have thought I was complete rubbish.

I don't like many foods even though I used to cook them for him, vegetables for instance, I eat very few of them. When I left him I didn't need to use Larousse Gastronomique any longer, in fact I left it for him. Then when the children left home, or should I say my daughter as my son ate from the chippy, I stopped 'preparing' meals and just get myself something to eat instead.

Believe me, she is better off with ready meals.
