Nice one RB! Whilst on the insect trail, here's another. I don't know what it is but it's considerably smaller than a small housefly. If I'd have got any closer, there'd have been a photo of a squashed fly on the lens. Even so, the photo has been cropped so as not to have a large area of surface around it.

A chook feather. Last night when I went down to put them away there was a fox with one of my chooks in his mouth. Lots of shouting, rock throwing and running and I managed to get it to run away without the chook. It is missing a few feathers though

For those who haven't figured it out, "chook" is Australian vernacular for chicken. When I was in America last year, I was staying with a friend in Sebastopol, California. When I referred to her chickens as chooks, I thought she was going to give herself a hernia laughing - she thought it was so funny and begged me to teach her more "Australian".
