Well, I have arrived safely and hungry. Also a bit dizzy and not hearing with one ear. The Heathrow landing was a bit 'bumpy' and all the pressure made my right ear go deaf. Hope it goes away soon.

Sue took me to the fish and chips restaurant and as hungry as I was I couldn't finish the plate - the portions are HUGE even for me .
Then we came home and I spent probably 2 hours opening all cards and packages that were waiting for me here. Half a room of birthday presents. You were all very very naughty and I will never find the proper words to express my gratitude.

And I will write a thank you message to each of you tomorrow. I promise.

I have had so much enjoyment with the posts from Mada and Sue in anticipation of their visit. I hope that both of you will have a great time. And Mada, you had real fish and chips? That cannot be found here. Have fun and enjoy.

Real fish and chips? My mouth is watering!!! Haven't had that in at least two years *sniff*

Yesterday it was fish and chips, today so far we went to a shop which sells craft products and managed NOT to buy anything. Then we went for a drive through the middle of the island and ended up on the east coast having a spot of lunch whilst looking at the coast of France.

The more driving, then a craft shop which did end up with less stock than when we arrived, then food shopping and then to Corbiere on the south-west tip to see the lighthouse and to eat ice cream.

Yep, sounds like a good day. I approve!

Cross my heart, we didn't buy anything from the first crafts store we visited. But we did buy a few tiny things from the second one and we'll be returning there soon .

Hee, hee - I have corrupted her! Mada cuddled a policeman!

Apart from the corruption what have we done...

Friday we went to the museum to see the Marilyn Munro exhibitions and to look around the museum in general. Then we went for a drive and stopped for icecream overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and bought fresh dug Jersey Royal potatoes which are gorgeous.

Saturday and it was a special day here, a sort of National Day with shops closed. The weather looked good my mid-morning, it had rained earlier, so we went to the zoo. Then after the zoo we popped into town to see if there was anything left of the afternoon entertainment and managed to catch the last tune from the Jersey Big Band which was We'll Meet Again. People were dancing in the square which was nice to see and singing along with the music.

We wandered about a little but most stalls were closing so as we were leaving we accosted a policeman and since Mada's camera was out of batteries she didn't manage to take a photo of me but I managed to gets some of her when she had a cuddle!

Oh, come on! It was the policeman that corrupted me. He couldn't keep his eyes off gorgeous me and kept on winking. I had to do something .

I'm loving this vicarious vacation. Cannot wait for the next installment!

I wonder what the gendarmes are like in St Malo for Monday. By the time we finish perhaps the Entente cordiale won't be quite so cordiale!

Like I said, I've never heard of these people named Sue or Mada, or Mue or Sada. Who are these people? This way, nobody can ever ask me to testify or be a character witness when their actions land everyone else of Quizzyland in jail! Terry may have to change his name to Fred.
