Hi all!

I started watching "Legend Of The Seeker" thinking it would be another a silly knock-off of LOTR or something, but I find it to be quite well written and acted. A standard quest show with wizards and heroes and evil tyrants, but manages to be better than others like it and really fun to watch. Good characterizations, believable plots (within the constraints of the genre) and lots of good details, costumes, fights, sets. Plus I think it's filmed in New Zealand and the landscapes are gorgeous.

I was wondering if it had any other fans around here. It's in syndication, so it's hard to know how many people actually get it in their area. I'm kind of curious about that too .

I remember watching it when it first came out. I don't remember much about it, but it was an adaptation of a young adult fantasy book. Fitting the book-wise it wasn't too great, but I did enjoy it.

I read the book series so I find the show disgusting. In the first 5 minutes they didn't get one thing right.

Yes, it does help you enjoy the show if you've never read the books. The books aren't young adult fantasy, though. They're more "Atlas Shrugged" set in a fantasy realm. In fact, after having read both the series that the show is based on (Sword of Truth) and "Atlas Shrugged," there are passages taken almost word for word, and many of the concepts are straight from Rand's book.
