Now I'm sure everybody's seen pictures of knights adorned by their royal family's coat of arms (aspecially since they were the first ones to have 'em), but no specific settlement had one until the 14th century - more then a hundred years after the Danes adopted the first state flag.

Now who can guess what town had the privilege to be granted one first (by the local monrach that is ;-) ). If you can't remember the town name, the country or general region will do aswell (as long as it's a lil' more specific than just Europe ;-) ). Bonus kudos for the exact year.

And if you don't know - heck, do a wild guess for the fun's sake, it's FUNtrivia after all.
