<< Is there any way that fill in the blank questions can be added using this feature? >>

Not for now. Let's see how this all works out.

<< I think it may severely limit the credit authors will gain (ratings-wise) for their originality. >>

Not at all. These questions will not be directly playable. They will simply appear in games that we already have online. If anything, FEWER quizzes will be created as players use this feature instead. That would INCREASE the visibility that quiz authors get.

Yes, I think it will be much more difficult to create an original quiz, editor's won't be as busy editing quizzes, as less and less are made. This feature will reduce quiz making, but not a lot... Of course, editors will still have their hands full with these questions! :-)

Wow, Terry, 500 questions, that's insane! 50 quizzes worth of questions... That will take a while. lol.

Terry, is there any way we can see which questions of ours are accepted? I have one that has been put online, of 8, and I am incredibly curious which one it was. :-D lol.

May I also suggest another badge? Maybe for getting one online in each of the 18 listed categories? A question per category, you know, sort of like the "15 categories" badge. It would be for all 18, because, since it is only 1 question each, it is much easier than an entire quiz. Much easier to get all 18. :-D

I noticed there STILL isn't a video game category. I wish video games were in expert categories and other hourlies, and not even in this one! lol. Can that be changed?

I've been fighting for this for a while.

lol, me too, Kyle. I want a video games category. lol.

And it seems my request was granted! You can now see WHICH questions have gone online. That is neat, one went online that I didn't think would... I was concerned about it, but it was my favorite question of them all. ;-)

And I checked to see one online, then went, submitted a question, answered a message in my inbox, and went back to check, that went online before the other 8! lol. :-D

Perhaps since this is just submitting one question at a time rather than a full quiz, a few video game questions could maybe be allowed in the Entertainment category, maybe a few questions that aren't super specifc that you need to be a hardcore gamer to get right?... Like, I understand not having Video Games as an entire category in, say, the Who's the Smartest, but if Entertainment were the category, I don't think it'd be a problem to have one question out of 10 be about a video game.

Heh, that's what I just suggested to Kyle in the editor's forum

Entertainment is a perfect place for a small number of "general knowledge" video game questions.

Even in expert, I don't think it is that bad to have video game categories in there, even specific games. I mean, us gamers don't have video games... History buffs have history, something I could NEVER score well on, TV watchers extraordinaire have TV, even musicals and operas have their place, and those are just as, if not more, obscure than video games. Those who enjoy religion have that category, literature has a lot of specific questions for the heavy novel readers. It would be nice for us gamers to get OUR category in the mix. And not just one or two in entertainment... You know?

Yeah, thank you, Terry! I see that you have made the lists with a little - in front of each, so you can actually see them all better! So much nicer and cleaner!

By the way, how many in each list in my contributions is shown? 7 are online of mine, but only 5 show up. The others seem to be fine. :-)

In the drop-down menu on the Add A Question page, in brackets beside People, it lists politicans among the kinds of people that belong in the People category. Is this correct for this Add A Question function? In the quiz world, quizzes on politicians get re-routed to World, don't they?

I noticed that you cannot correct a question when it gets a correction. Is that question just scrap and you have to redo it completely, or is there anyway to edit it and resubmit it?

Is this a first come first serve thing, or is it the more established quiz authors get theirs looked at first?

Well there's not that many people (so far) submitting questions, so either way it shouldn't take too long..

I like this, I have difficulty thinking up ideas for whole quizzes, but one question at a time is a much better option.

I think they must go down a list, or something, because the ones I most recently submitted have gone online before some of the first I wrote...

Or just certain category editors have began editing, and others haven't. For instance, a tv question will go online before a history question. ;-) You know?

Probably that last one. Terry is making all this up as he goes, and we are trying to catch up with all his new gadgets. Some of us probably haven't even found the queue for these single questions yet!

1. Questions are edited by their respective category editors, so some categories will take longer than others.

2. No way yet to recover a rejected question. Right now if it's rejected, it's gone. I might actually keep it this way... makes people think very carefully before submitting instead of just tossing in garbage.

Are questions being fact-checked? Or, alternatively, when these questions come up in the hourly games, will there be a way to send correction notes on them?
