It has an amazing live oak in front.

Here are the Queen's deer in Richmond Park as they line up to cross the road. Unfortunately some may remember the thread a few years ago on venison where I described how the numbers never seem to change from year to year in the park, while the local butchers have an ample supply of venison. I suppose they pay for themselves but while they restrict traffic usage to protect the deer they simply do the job themselves. They even close the park for a day and put up notices telling people why
They only 'remove' a fraction each year though but as it's the biggest park in London wonder if even that is necessary.

The Canadian or Horseshoe Falls

This is Irv. Irv is a desert spiny lizard that lives in our atrium at work. Irv is actually a "she"; we named her before we realized this, but she looks like an Irv, so the name stuck. Desert spiny lizards have longer tails than Irv -- she lost her first one and the second one didn't grow in as long.

Early Summer Sunset

Ahh, I see the "Maid of the Mist" in the Horseshoe Falls. Now that's a fun boat trip; a great experience I'll always remember. You DO get awfully wet, though.

This house also has a magnificent oak tree. I watched this one get hit by lightning several years ago -- thank goodness it survived. It now has copper tubing on it serving as a lightning rod.

All the Deer in your pic seem to be Fawns, Sat. Where are the 'parents?'

This little bird and his mate visit our garden everyday.

I'm glad the deer question was sorted out, I would never have known the answer besides knowing where some end up each year, whether or not assisted by cars...

Here is a view I used to have from our back bedroom in my old house from the other direction, plus it was the real Wembley Stadium which was demolished in 2003 for this Lego version. The conference centre next door out of shot has just gone as well but the new offices going up look reasonable so far.

Sams House #2
Beaufort, SC
An antebellum house with another wonderful oak tree.

This house is #2 because Mr. Sams, back in the early 1800s, had 17 children and built this house to accommodate all of them. #1 house is a couple of blocks away. The story is that when they all moved into this #2 house Mr. Sams died.

Here's a rather well-fed looking robin on my neighbour's fence.
