Haven't managed to look at May's photos yet, but will slowly work my way through. June's are just great!

This is one of the lovely buildings, a hotel, that line the streets of Broken Hill, NSW. They are mostly of similar architecture, so the place has a lovely feel about it.

Had this little visitor at my office window today. It's a rock squirrel, our desert variety of squirrel that lives underground or in between rocks.

This is a speed limit sign at work. We've been told that they came up with the odd number to make us pay attention to our speed, but somehow I think that anything that draws your attention off the road isn't a good idea...

LOL - there is a speed limit sign around here that has 1/2 on it too. I'll have to find it and take a pic.

Iceplant flower

This is a dramatic shot of the subway under the A40 at Ealing I used as there was an old sign at either end that had survived where the rest hadn't. I only found it as the main road was blocked last week and I had to use a new route home as it's a bit I rarely use otherwise.

That's a lovely pic, Lilyalli! I had a similar view of one of the mountains nearby at sunset -- the light hit it and made the rocks look red.

I've been scanning more photos, this is from my first trip to Scotland in 1969 and a road somewhere in the Highlands round Oban.

This is our picnic area at work. Since we've hit summer temperatures, it's not getting a lot of use...

I'm not sure what this little white flower is, but I have lots of them beside my house.

I actually think it is a wild anemone - native to Canada... Fooled me for a bit too, it was the flower bud which just didnt look right for a geranium.... love em too!

This is Blue Daze. It's an annual plant for us, but I have this shrub in my backyard that survives year round -- I've had it for nearly ten years now. It needs to be well-watered to bloom, but it holds up to the heat and the sun.

Thanks to both Sue and Sherry. It does look like the anemone, but whichever it is, I like 'em!

Some kids threw a piece of pizza to these gulls, and a feeding frenzy ensued!

Yellow cannas in my front yard. They are another plant that we chop to the ground in winter, and they grow back when it gets warm.

I don't get out much with my camera anymore but I do check in here everyday and look at everyone's great photos. I did get a few shots the other day of ClaraSue and Alex playing. I get a kick out of watching her chase him round and round....
