Sooooooooooooo sad!
I saw this film yesterday for the second time because the first time I saw it I was only ten and had no clear memory of the film or what it was about.
It stars Kevin Costner and Robin Wright Penn. I cried from about the middle all the way to the end and ended up crying myself to sleep afterwards. I don't normally cry at things very easily- my mum calls me a bit of a cold fish.
It's about someone who finds a tragic love letter in a bottle on the shore and sets out to find the writer of that letter. When she finds him, they fall in love but he (Costner) is still in love with his dead wife Caroline who he first wrote the letter to.
It's very very very sad, and I've seen many Costner movies recently- The Bodyguard which I thought was sad, A perfect World which I thought was the saddest Costner movie ever made and then I saw this and in comparison A Perfect World is very sad, but with only one 'very', I'd definitely give A Message in a Bottle at least three 'very's.
Has anyone else seen this movie?
