I hope those aren't in England, Picqero -- some things just shouldn't be messed with, and English phone booths are in that group.
I'm afraid they are most definitely in England - near the centre of the capital city in fact Here's something far better, the Tower of London was built in the late 11th century on the orders of William of Normandy, better known as William the Conqueror after he defeated king Harold at the Battle of Hastings. The medieval style tent is set in the Tower's moat, being used for a historical re-enactment display.

yup, that looks like it. Not a lot there, is there? Here is the work rig - generator, air compressor and every tool that we might need. Nothing worse than getting to a job and forgetting something.

Liz, great blue herons are known to be very skittish, kudos to you for capturing a shot of him. Love the gull! Picqero, good to see your shot of the Tower of London. Sat, your shot is very peaceful. More flowers, lovely... and Copago, I see you're still hard at work... I crossed the river today to visit my friend. Her mango tree is laden with fruit, almost ready for the picking.

Spanishliz, I've learned to run away when a bird's eyes turn red... It's monsoon season in Arizona which means we get moisture up from the Gulf of California and the Gulf of Mexico which could lead to evening thunderstorms. Most often, it just leads to lots of clouds, dust storms and the occasional haboob (the dreaded wall of dirt). Here are some of the teaser clouds...

Oooooh, that looks ominous! This toucan is also hanging from my friend's mango tree. It is a tire recycled into a planter, which holds a staghorn fern.

4th July, so here's something for our U.S. members; the statue of U.S. General and President Dwight D. Eisenhower, in Grosvenor Square, London. The statue was jointly unveiled in 1989 by Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, and U.S. Ambassador Charles Price. There are two of Eisenhower's most famous quoatations, carved on the pedestal, one from his wartime career, and the other from his presidential inauguration: "Soldiers, Sailors, and Airmen of the Allied Expeditionary Force: You are about to embark upon a great crusade... the hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you." (June 6, 1944) "The faith we hold belongs not to us alone but to the free of all the world." (January 20, 1953)

Happy 4th of July!! Montecello, the home of Thomas Jefferson who wrote the Declaration of Independence. John F. The monsoons are here at last and it was raining heavily yesterday so I didn't go out. This shot of the Palace of Westminster was taken 3 weeks ago.

This is the walkway over the top of Mundaring Weir (dam) where Perth gets most of its water supply. Due to our sparse rainfall and ever-growing population, the level of water in the dam is extremely low and we are subject to water restrictions. The last time the dam was full was 1996. At the moment it's only about 40% full despite the fact that it has rained almost every day for the last couple of weeks. I took this photo at Easter when Ozzz2002 and his lovely lady visited me.

Bhs...I have the exact same lantanas...I love how they start with a yellow center (and sometimes a pink center) and then flip colours! I have this red flower growinggrowing, and I know it was probably labelled incorrectly, but I would love to know what it is, and if it is an annual or a perennial. Some of my neighbours say the red flowers remind them of strawberries. Have not a clue as to what they are. The labelled said they were supposed to be asters, but I never saw asters look like that. Any help in identifying is appreciated. (edited to add: link with a close of flowers and leaves) http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa68/DakotaNorth_album/Photo120.jpg

JTJ, I think that your plant may be a type of Verbena (no relation to Verbonica ). It's a perennial that's pretty much of an annual, especially in your climate. http://www.findmeplants.co.uk/picsinfull/verbena_claret.jpg(there are lots of pictures on Google images, but some of the URLs are too long for here)

Thanks Verbonica and PDAZ! Those links that you provided do look just like my plant! Now I am very happy, as I know what the heck I have!
