Wow! And about time, Nightmare.
Terrific result, and thanks for the great work- there are some pretty impressive names in the other 24 spots, too.

Wow! And about time, Nightmare. I echo ozzz's sentiments. It IS about time Nightmare had the top quiz. He is a prolific writer for a reason!

Congrats to everyone on the Top 25 list. I can only dream of being there. A friend of mine asked me the other day if there was a list of the top quizzes. I didn't know but I've read this thread before so off I went to google to find it. Instead I found this link [ gold member link] After 18 months here I no longer consider myself a FT newbie and I thought I pretty much knew where everything was but I've never seen this list before. Have I been completely blinkered as I've wandered around the FT corridors or could this list do with more prominence? Would anyone else be interested in playing their way through the best/most popular quizzes in order to learn more about the world and/or about quiz writing?

I have spent many hours playing my way through the top quizzes in each category - there are some great quizzes there, and it's a good way to learn about some of the categories about which I come to the site knowing very little. I access it through the 'Me' menu - it's under Gold Member features.

What a great list! I have never seen that either, but it is a great starting place for a rainy day when I just want to go quiz crazy!

Thanks looney_tunes for pointing out that the list is available in the drop down menu. I probably should have found that earlier but there's so much to do here that I missed that link. I shall pass it on to my friend who was looking for a list and one day I'll plough through it too. This reminds me of the time I discovered the dial that controlled the dashboard lights in my car... after three years of ownership! I'd never needed it before so I never went looking for it, only to find it by chance one day

I had a friend who lived in a house for four years with the main light in the front room broken. Eventually he decided it was time to get an electrician in to fix it. Sparky took one look at the light, changed the bulb and hey, presto...

Now, now Snowman, I know how to change a light bulb! I didn't need to find the dial to alter the dashboard lights so I never looked for it The big question is how much did the sparky charge to put in a new light bulb?

I'm pleased my "Empedocles" quiz has moved up.
Maybe I should think of other Empedoclean quizzes next year.

darksplash, congratulations for getting there at some point. Even if it's not there now, being in the top 25 is quite an amazing achievement!
