Some of you may have noticed our friend jordandog has not been on for quite awhile. Mid-May I posted in the chains (and later on the chat boards) that I had spoken with Sandy by phone. She was having some family issues and hoped to be back on FT soon.
This morning I received the news that sadly, Sandy's brother, Doug, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Sandy had been by his bedside constantly, acting as his primary caregiver.
On the day of his Memorial Service, June 11th, Sandy fell and broke her tailbone, and spent the next few weeks in full traction in hospital. Those of you that know Sandy, know she already is dealing with severe back problems that has plagued her for years - such bad luck cannot be believed.

She has now been home for only a few days, and is
now dealing with not only being in a full body brace, but also strep throat, thus unable to talk much. The brace/cast does not enable her to be on the computer much. She is emotionally and physically exhausted, as well as in an incredible amount of pain. Those of you that know Sandy, know she is a real trouper, a real fighter, rarely complaining about the lot that life has cast her. She is truly a dynamite woman. I, for one, look up to her in awe of her inner strength.
Her friends, neighbours, a nurse, and family are all pitching in to help with the house, garden and her beloved dog, Jordan. She is in good hands on the home front.
Who knows when she will be able to return here, but perhaps some of you may want to leave a message for her so that when she
does return, she can read them.
Sandy? Throw away that bad penny, for gawd's sakes, ok? I miss you and want to see you back here again, spreading your wit and wisdom! The place is just not the same without you! Sending you get-well-soon vibes, much love, hugs and other mushy stuff, Mags xxxx
