Some of you may have noticed our friend jordandog has not been on for quite awhile. Mid-May I posted in the chains (and later on the chat boards) that I had spoken with Sandy by phone. She was having some family issues and hoped to be back on FT soon.

This morning I received the news that sadly, Sandy's brother, Doug, passed away after a long battle with cancer. Sandy had been by his bedside constantly, acting as his primary caregiver.

On the day of his Memorial Service, June 11th, Sandy fell and broke her tailbone, and spent the next few weeks in full traction in hospital. Those of you that know Sandy, know she already is dealing with severe back problems that has plagued her for years - such bad luck cannot be believed.

She has now been home for only a few days, and is now dealing with not only being in a full body brace, but also strep throat, thus unable to talk much. The brace/cast does not enable her to be on the computer much. She is emotionally and physically exhausted, as well as in an incredible amount of pain. Those of you that know Sandy, know she is a real trouper, a real fighter, rarely complaining about the lot that life has cast her. She is truly a dynamite woman. I, for one, look up to her in awe of her inner strength.

Her friends, neighbours, a nurse, and family are all pitching in to help with the house, garden and her beloved dog, Jordan. She is in good hands on the home front.

Who knows when she will be able to return here, but perhaps some of you may want to leave a message for her so that when she does return, she can read them.

Sandy? Throw away that bad penny, for gawd's sakes, ok? I miss you and want to see you back here again, spreading your wit and wisdom! The place is just not the same without you! Sending you get-well-soon vibes, much love, hugs and other mushy stuff, Mags xxxx

Jordandog firstly I`m so very sorry to read of your loss of your brother. That`s such a hard thing to deal with I cannot imagine what you must be feeling and going through.

The medical problems you are having to deal with at such an emotionally draining period of your life are something I can relate to and you have my full sympathy, for what it`s worth. I hope you recover fast and are walking and talking soon, with no more physical pain.

Good luck Jordandog.

Roos.

Jordandog, do take care, try to get better soon. We do miss your wit and thoughts here on Fun Trivia. No more falling on your tail!

Since you are not able to be at the computer for long, maybe you could do a quick print of this thread. That way you could read over and over again just how much you are missed!

My sincere condolences on the loss of your brother, JD. That must have been terrible for you to go through. And, on top of it, to have such a painful accident and so much suffering. As if the emotional pains weren't enough .
Hope you'll get better soon. Take care.

Sandy, oh Sandy, I am at a loss as to what to say about the loss of your beloved brother. Words can never truly express all that the word condolences mean. Just know that you are in my thoughts and prayers during your time of loss.

You'll find my get well message on our team board when you return, as well as probably heard my worrisome message on your answering machine.

I know you are strong-willed woman, and you will be back to your old self before you know it.

You have no idea how much I miss you my friend, you have been in my prayers for the longest while and will continue to be. You know that I consider you my best friend. Gosh, someone has to keep me sane, yes?

Hopefully, you will enjoy the books that I'll soon be sending.

Just rest and take it one day at a time. I know your family loves you, and it sounds like you have terrific neighbors; plus you have your FT family. Bet you didn't think you would be this missed, eh?
