I received a call this morning from Sandy.

She said she is feeling a lot better, but not well enough to be sitting at a computer for hours like she used to.

I told her the computer and her friends here can wait, that she needs to take care of herself first.

She wanted me to tell everyone that she misses you and that she appreciates and is thankful for all the well-wishes.

Her son, Zach has been taking care of Sandy, and he had to go away for a few days (work related) so Sandy stayed with her son Kirk and his wife Kendra.

When she got home today she listened to all the messages and wanted me to pass on many thanks to those that contacted her.

Sandy also told me that once the cast comes off (in the next few weeks), her physical therapy starts.

All I know is that it felt wonderful to hear from Sandy.

I know that Sandy will get through this because she is strong-willed woman, who has a great family system and a terrific friend central here.

Sandy, all the best. It's hard to go through just one of these things, much less all at once.

I haven't been on the forums for very long, but I can't wait until you get back. It sounds like you're worth knowing.

I can't believe I missed this thread, right up until now! I had wondered about her. Hopefully she knows me well enough to understand that my addiction to the chain games sometimes makes me forget to take a look around.

Not only Sandy, but has anyone heard from Rich (vendome)? I was reading some of his older posts, and was wondering... maybe Sue has heard something?

Rich is a very private sort of person and when ill does not like to complain in public or really communicate much at all.His last posts seemed to indicate that he was determined to leave FT for good. (he had been absent on many previous occasions, but returned when a lot of people asked about him. )This time, it seems , he is very seriously ill, and it seems unlikely that he will return, much as I would love to be proved wrong.
Sue had contact with Rich's son before, and she might feel it is time she asked him for news again. Or maybe we should do as Rich seemed to want, which was to allow him to move on. I wish I knew, as he is such a special guy.

Sandy was on the site on 12th Sept, which I would like to think is a Good Sign.

I've just now discovered this thread, and my heart goes out to Sandy at this time.

I too miss Rich's posts, and I pray for him as well.

I just phoned her again. Her machine is still picking up messages rather than her, though. When I (finally) get hold of her, will drop in here again and let you know the update.

Sandy had help getting on to FT, as she transferred admin duties (as only Sandy can do this) of our FT team to Cyndoia (aka Clare).
