I was at an all day scrapbooking thingy today, and one of the ladies brought this lovely trifle for our pot luck lunch! Mmmmm!

This is the front of the restaurant from which I took the foggy pic. Actually it's the Highland Inns resort, but you have to walk through the lobby to get to the restaurant.

Yes, I was visiting the Wildlife Sanctuary again. I stayed 'til close to sundown waiting for the wolves to come out of their dens. --It was a hot afternoon and that lion sleeping in the shade under one of the structures in their pasture just made me laugh. He moved once, to bring his front paws together (when I got the snap)and then just let his feet fall apart again sleeping unperturbed looking dead to the world. It was cooler when these beautiful creatures came out.

I saw this sculpture in the grounds of Eton College recently. I'm sure it is Perseus holding aloft the head of Medusa, but was curious about the inscription on the base, which reads 'XAIPETE NENIKHKAMEN', so posted a question in Ask Funtrivia. thanks to Layla141, who informs me it is phonetic Greek, meaning 'Rejoice, we have won'

This is a pic again from the tour bus of the building affectionately known as the Gherkin. It is used by Nat west bank i believe.

The gherkin's Swiss Reinsurance (or was when it was built), the Nat West tower is nearby and has been there a lot longer.

I see one of its names is 'Poor Man's Orchid' and I had actually said to someone it looked a bit like an orchid. On checking further it seems it is a nuisance and invasive , but it's not that common where I live.
