Question, just so I know for future reference >>> Does "too heated" mean, not agreed with? Being polite (and no bad language) is one thing but is this a forum where we all sing the same tune or else? Ken

Thats what I'm saying. For example,10 posters are talking about 'whatever' and I dont agree. Even if being POLITE, I should NOT post under that thread? If no, does that mean I can start my own thread with the opposite view? I agree, no one should try and deliberately cause a problem. Basically....no free thought allowed? By definition, that does not sound like a forum. Ken

I wouldn't say that, by any means, we all agree about everything. What is being said is that there are ways to disagree, or have a different view or opinion, without attacking another poster. For instance, we don't ever say things like; Wow, (insert name) what you said is really stupid. Or, Hey, (so-and-so) why don't you go get yourself a clue. You don't have to agree with the previous poster, but you don't have to treat them badly to do so. Also, stay away from more controversial issues. Religion is one that I can think of, that always produces very strong feelings, and should probably be avoided in general.
re·spect (r-spkt) tr.v. re·spect·ed, re·spect·ing, re·spects 1. To feel or show deferential regard for; esteem. 2. To avoid violation of or interference with 3. To relate or refer to; concern. n. 1. A feeling of appreciative, often deferential regard; esteem. 2. The state of being regarded with honor or esteem. 3. Willingness to show consideration or appreciation. 4. respects Polite expressions of concideration or difference That should about clear it up. No, we aren't mindless zombies who happen to agree with each other about everything. We just have utmost respect for one another.

To be honest if you are just looking for forums for heavy or serious discussion and not looking for the quiz package then perhaps this isn't necessarily the correct site for you. Most of the forum members also play quizzes and games on the main site and many write quizzes too. Many of the members from the main site don't use the forums at all, preferring to use the chat boards instead - controversy is not encouraged there either.
