The same thing happened to me, agony. I had one final QQ question sitting in the "Recently Accepted Submissions" list for what felt like weeks, so I submitted a new question, thinking that the system was set up to always leave behind one question in that list.

Well, my newer question was accepted, and entered the New Question Game before the older question, which I thought was strange because my questions used to get used up according to their submission order. That first question eventually entered the game as well, so I figured that it had something to do with an over-abundance of questions in that category.

But the "delete" link doesn't work properly.

I still have that same question listed on
http://www.funtrivia.com/questionpost_me.cfm
as has having been rejected and when I click "delete" the question remains in the list.

Q #6643, if that matters

Actually, for both Verbonica and LeoDaVinci...
Che was Argentinian which definitely makes him South American and O'higgins and Bolivar were Revolutionaries who liberated Chile and Venezuela/Colombia respectively from the Spanish. One could argue freedom fighter or revolutionary I guess depending from which side of the battle you are viewing the action - colonial or metropole?
As for the psoriasis...I have no earthly idea and agree with Verbonica that the question is insanely obscure...even for someone who has made a career out of studying the history of the region.

Apparently, I am not alone in feeling that the length of time for single-question entries is a bit inordinate. I am dissuaded from contributing more entries, though. It is by no means a criticism, but more than 30 days is a bit discouraging.

Happy New Year!

christopherm, is your post about the length of time it takes to get an entry accepted, or the time it takes for it to be used in the game? It makes a difference, as one can be dealt with by the editors, the other is most likely due to how Terry has the selection process working, and how many other accepted questions are waiting in the wings.

I have a growing list of recently accepted questions, and they no longer seem to be moving into play nearly as quickly as they used to. Is there a limit to the number of accepted questions you can have hanging around at any one time? I am up to 7, and the number 10 persists in my memory. I am not sure, however, whether that is for questions waiting to be accepted, or for questions waiting to get played, or both, or neither! I don't want to frustrate myself writing questions that I won't be allowed to submit.

10 is the limit to how many you can have submitted at once, i.e. waiting for an editor to review them. As far as I know, there's no limit to how many unplayed accepted ones you can have - it's definitely more than 10, in any case.

I think this has recently been reduced to 5. I had a few questions prepared on a Word document which I tried to submit today and got a message saying I could only have 5 questions in the queue at a time waiting for editor approval.
