I saw a film a while ago and i can only remember sections- I cant think who the lead actor was, the title, or even the main plot. Can anyone help me out?

I think near the beginning, a police officer goes onto a house weapon drawn where some other peaople are fighting with guns- he kills all the other people(i think they might have been chinese or japanese), and other police arrive on scene.
He takes one bullet to the abdomen and when he goes to the hospital he waits for a certain nurse because he likes. She tells him something along the lines of- 'you dont have to get shot to come and see me'.
Later on, i think this guy goes with another police man to do a fake drug deal to catch someone- things go wrong and the other police guy dies and so do the two guys they were doing the deal with- all shot dead, the main guy gets a bullet near his shoulder and goes to the girl again, but this time at her house. They then find out the two guys they were doing the deal with were two cops in deep undercover- but so undercover they were bent cops. This guy is now wanted.

Thats all i remember and im not sure if some bits are right- does anyone know what this film might be?

I've been trying to remember what it was for the last couple of weeks so i could see it again and my mind kept coming up blanc- I must have been having a Keanu Reeves movie marathon or something. I must have wathced it when The Day The Earth Stood Still came out and i kept seeing his name everywhere.
