I am going to duck and hide from the Gatsby wrath here, but I saw it for the first time last night and I just don't get it. There was huge hype here, and I saw that it won massive accolades at the Globes and whatever, but I couldn't see what was so good! The performances seemed a bit flat and cliched and the Indian guy(behind some desk, was atrocious!(In my opinion). I couldn't find anything funny and I switched off when the agony became too much, after about 9 ad breaks in the first 20 minutes. What a let down, sorry everyone.

No problem Ren, not everyone has the same tastes. I love it because I was in glee club and it sort of reminds me that, yeah high school sucked, but it pretty much sucks for everyone.

Ah, I'm "wrathless" in regards to the show (and towards those who aren't so keen on it), Miss Ren . It's very interesting, really. Almost all my friends over here in the States do not like it ~ and that kinda makes sense, I reckon. It seems that almost everybody out there in 'audience land', that I've come across, either love it or hate it. Nothing in the middle! To me, if there's any real *defense* to "Glee" (which may help to consider when giving it a look) it's that the program [affectionately] makes fun of everybody! Young, old, ethnic, male, female, and so forth. And, when it's done doing that (sometimes mercilessly, too), it paints it all over with some rip-roaring song-and-dance. Just to make it all go down easier? But, truly, my friends over here are not at all shy in saying how much they don't really care for the show -- so I'm used to naysayers .

Argh ... now that I think about it? You ought to hear the crap they give me about my "American Idol" obsession, too . But, sigh, there's often nothing better than an opposing point of view, eh? Keeps a person humbled ...

Every time I watch "Glee" now, I think of this part of your comment, Gatsby, because it's so true! That's one of the things I like about this show.

There are two episodes left over here until the mid-season finale. I'll miss it until it starts again!

Oh and it was great to see that "Glee" won the Golden Globe for Best TV series - comedy and the SAG award for best ensemble in a comedy series! Good for them, all the actors do a great job on the show.

One day to go until Glee starts. Not for us though as we have to wait another two weeks until it starts over here.

The promos and behind the scenes videos are really good. They are just giving out enough to make you want to watch again this season without spoiling it too much. Can't wait for the Madonna episode, it sounds great!

Oh, my ! I think I must be in a bad mood this morning, or something. What a disappointment the return episode of "Glee" was, I thought. I still love (love, love ) the show ... but that went all south. They undid everything they ended with last episode, in one quick hour! While it's true the story lines never make all that much logical sense [but they're fun, anyway], all those quick switches left me a little disjointed. I was all a bit uneasy with the false pregnancy last time (and how it fit into the breeziness of the program). Now we get Will having a mid-life crisis? That seems [almost] as awkward. And Finn gets not one, but TWO, cheerleaders to date now? I think I know what they're doing: erasing the slate so they can run new story lines, etc. But the continuity got blown pretty well.

However, the music always rules, yes? Maybe it's just me --- but I was really enjoying Finn doing his spin on Jim Morrison .It wasn't polished Morrison, but he sang it while playing basketball in high school, after all . I liked his song. And Sue Sylvester doing "Vogue" at the end? Omigod! While it wasn't as funny as I thought it'd be? Sue was "hot"! Sue? Hot? Same sentence? Say what?

I just had a look at this list posted over on Entertainment Weekly's website (www.ew.com) and thought it was pretty funny . Not to mention entirely accurate!

11 Laws of the 'Glee' Universe

1. Slushies to the face do not result in permanent clothing stains/hair disasters/911 calls or any punishment whatsoever.

2. Learning choreography and new songs on the fly is totally a breeze.

3. A piano and a trombone can produce the sounds of a full orchestra, instrumentalists know the chords to songs without any notice, and no one ever has to practice the boring parts of choir, like sight reading (which any choir geek can tell you is totally mandatory).

4. Cheerleaders wear their uniforms all day/every day.

5. Teachers/administrators have absolutely nothing going on in their lives that doesn't somehow relate to the glee club.

6. Restraining orders aren't really that serious — see the rehiring of Sandy Ryerson (Stephen Tobolowsky) who'd been told to stay away from kids but was then brought back to head the arts department.

7. Men are so stupid that...
(1) ...they won't realize you're not pregnant.
(2) ...they think you can get pregnant from errant hot-tub fluids.
And in that same vein...

8. Married people can go months without seeing or touching each other's torsos.

9. Gay stage dads never show up and hover during their daughters' performances.

10. Everyone can learn dances by "following someone's lead."

11. Playing music and allowing for a dance break during a football game are totally fine with the referees and other coaches/team.

Lol! That was funny, thanks for posting, Gatsby.

And that comment was made by Brittany, right? I saw it on a preview online, lol... she's so dumb.

Ahh! Tonight was the Madonna episode! I'm seriously considering downloading the new episodes... Fox still hasn't shown any previews for the new episodes here in Latin America I can't wait!

I just love Brittany, she gets some of the funniest lines.

I loved this weeks show, but I wish they had done the entire version of Total Eclipse of the Heart, It was disconcerting with all the mixing up of lyrics.

I loved this week's episode as well. Rachel's take on "Run Joey Run" was really funny

And yes, Brittany does have some of the funniest lines: "I think my cat's been reading my diary" LOL

Has anyone been watching Glee? It just keeps getting better and better, the songs are really great and I love how they include specific songs to fit the themes of the show.

I loved their take on Lady Gaga's "Poker Face", Lea Michele and Idina Menzel did an awesome job singing that song!

Yeah, I still love the show, and it drives my husband up the wall, but hey, he never was in Glee Club so how would he know, right?

Oh wow, that season finale surely was awesome! Does anyone else agree?

And although I love New Directions, and their Journey medley was great, I can see why Vocal Adrenaline won the competition, their rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody was amazing. I think that whole scene was very, very well done. The editing was perfect, going from VA's number to Quinn giving birth.

Also really enjoyed watching the kids sing To Sir, With Love and Will singing Over The Rainbow, it was a perfect season finale.

So, when does the new season start?!

May I agree? Twice ? I finally watched the tape today (rough month; it took me a while to get to it). The 'season' (short as it seemed to be ... is it me, or should a bona fide 'season' last longer than they seem to, these days?) started off all wrong to me. It was as if they had thrown everybody's storylines into a blender and were hoping to get interesting mayonnaise as a result. It all felt like bad mustard to me, though. At first, anyway. I still say the writers on "Glee" are ace (not to mention terribly lucky). They can try anything, given their parameters, and see what works. The show's a monster hit now, which means that they could go truly crazy with it, and the characters in it (ala, say, "Desperate Housewives"). And they did the 'normal' TV thing that way, there for a minute. Rachel finding her Mama? That was just "Glee"-ish odd, really. A zillion potential birth mothers out there in the world? Rachel's happens to be down the street (and looks like her to a fault, no less)? BUT! The writers saw it coming that they could get w-a-y too *meet cute* with that, and they pulled it back brilliantly. And now (just to add to Rachel's overall angst/insecurity) they went to a most interesting place. Rachel's mother adopts Quinn's baby? How unimportant/replaceable will that get Rachel going? I'm suspecting that she'll definitely get to belt out "I'm Here" from B-way's The Color Purple any minute now . Lest we audience forget that she's getting more and more socially/privately disconnected, in a realistic sense. Poor Finn doesn't stand a chance up against the likes of her, does he ? I suppose we all know that she's doomed to turn him into a better and smarter man. Probably neither of them know that, however, just yet. Curt was this 'season's' showstopper, I thought. Didn't go anywhere unchartered much with him (except for the creepy [in my opinion] obsession business they gave him re: Finn). Sue remained diabolically layered ~ and should still win that Emmy coming up. And Will? Background player, mostly, until they offered up the "To Sir, With Love" in his direction that last night. I guess, as I ramble along, is that I think the finale got back to what "Glee" really is (all the guest stars aside): it's about those kids and the school and the teachers who care in ways that often seem peculiar. The closing shot reassured me that "Glee", while never a documentary, is a really terrific show. Will and Puck, the latter of which has managed to become the most well-drawn character I've been glad to get to know on the show (smackable as he can sometimes be ), did "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". It somehow pulled everything back to what matters. And, now, I can't wait for next season again. I only hope it lasts a bit longer when it happens ...

Gatsby! I wondered if you had been watching "Glee". Great to see you posting here, your posts are always very interesting

It's too bad that Shelby (Rachel's mom) didn't develop more of a relationship with her. It was a bit odd, she found Rachel, but then said she missed her chance with her and that was it. But yes, Shelby adopting little Beth was very interesting and sweet.

I'm really hoping "Glee" will win the Emmy for best comedy, and of course, Jane Lynch should win too. If she doesn't win, then there's something wrong with the Emmy voters.

Has anyone seen the new promos for Glee? It's coming back on September 21st.

Here is one of the promos with the song "Empire State of Mind" on the background. There's also another clip with an introduction with two of the actresses from Bones.

It looks like it's going to be great, I can't wait! laugh
