I did . I thought it was great! It had lots of funny parts, such as Finn's audition (Becky's reaction was so funny, that girl is adorable). I also liked Sue's comments to Santana about her plastic surgery. She was so right about everything she said. Also loved Rachel singing "What I Did For Love". Lea Michele has such a wonderful voice. The rest of the numbers were also very nice and fun to watch. MollyG, the opening for the Emmys was hilarious . I watched it live and then watched it a few more times. Good stuff. Tomorrow's episode, "Britney/Brittany", looks like it's going to be interesting. I must say I was hesitant when I found out they were doing a Britney episode. But I'm glad Heather Morris (Brittany) is getting her first solo and also John Stamos is making his first appearance! MollyG, I'm glad you posted, I thought no one on Funtrivia was watching Glee anymore. Gatsby... are you still watching?

What did you all think of the Britney/Brittany episode? I liked Artie singing "Stronger". Heather Morris was hilarious and she dances so well!
I'm really looking forward to next week's episode. It looks like it's going to be very emotional.

Is anyone still watching Glee? Last night's episode was so sweet! I loved the church scene and the wedding reception. Carol Burnett was also awesome. I love how the show just keeps getting better each week. Someone must still be watching, right?

Actually, the Carol Burnett episode was the first episode of the show I'd ever seen... I LOVE Carol Burnett!

Sorry, Ive been away from my computer. Loved the wedding episode.
I did have a problem with the Substitute episode, the substitute tells the class that Mary Todd-Lincoln was bi-polar and starts ranting at a teapot, well I don't know if Mrs.Lincoln was bi-polar but what the sub was displaying as bi-polar was schizophrenia I believe, but definitely not bi-polar disorder, I have never ranted at a teapot in my life. I just can't stand that people think schizophrenia and bi-polar disorder, and multiple personality disorder are the same thing when in fact they are three very different diseases. Sorry, rant over.
Still love the show.

Yep, I still love the show, too (even though I've been mighty quiet about saying so, lately). I was so happy last week, watching, that I thought I'd pop in here and bore you all again with my unnecessary commentary . In my mind, last Tuesday's ep was the quintessential "Glee". Perfect in almost every way, as far as a program like "Glee" can be expected to be. The interaction between teachers and students, students and students, teachers and teachers, etc. No 'guest stars'? Say what? No Gwyneth, Carol, Britney? No Kardashian, or worse, magically appearing to jack-up the scenery? What's up with that? Tongue is firmly lodged in cheek, there, o' course. This whole season I kept waiting for them to change the show's title to "Guest Star Glee" , or something. I really enjoy Ms. Paltrow, and Ms. Burnett (bunches of love for her), and even Ms. Spears. And, on many days, I can even heartily stomach John Stamos. BUT ... I had so much trouble connecting with the show because of the parade of 'big star cameos' lately that I found myself drifting away from what charms me about the whole premise of it. The gawky kids. The clumsy way they get from Point A to Point B. The way that, out of nowhere, there's a full-orchestra accompaniment and Mercedes is standing by her locker belting something out like Jennifer Hudson might (and the like). And the teachers 'acting up', too -- really, quite often behaving as if they're still high school students, too. I loved, loved, loved all that silly and lilting and goofy sensibility that "Glee" thrived on at first. I totally understand that television is a business, also that "Glee" is now a monster hit [one might even call the series a *phenomenon* at this point] and everybody and their brother, especially those with a new album or new movie or a new PR event looming, wants to be on there and get some exposure. But, yikes!, it seemed like 80% of recent episodes have been just a little bit about the school, the club, the core characters and MUCH more about set-ups for the new A-lister who might, somehow, end up in the principal's office. OK. This sounds like bit of a rant, I realize (it is one) but let me clarify that I still love the show. My gripes about it don't change that. It's just that, in my opinion, "Glee" took some rather patterned detours this fall that, even though they didn't make me change the channel, made me feel a good bit less 'connected'. Or something? Am I making sense. Bear with me. Ranters aren't required to make total sense, are they ? Then? Tuesday night. The prep for the sectionals. I thought "It's BACK!". The magic comb, Puck "recruiting" perfectly frightening wrestlers, Will getting his heart broken, Rachel being a diva pistol. All capped with a pretty awesome take on "Don't Cry For Me Argentina". The gray-haired glee club, too? Good grief, I was back in heaven watching it all, again. I'll never stop watching the show. My only suggestion might be: an occasional guest star is fine, and great fun. But not weekly. True magic happened, again, on there last week. And no "legendary" celebrity popping in was necessary to make it happen that way. And I'll shut up now ...

Yay Molly and Gatsby, you are still watching! Gatsby, your comments aren't boring, just the opposite! I agree that last week's episode was really good. And it's true that "Glee" is at its best when the focus is on the kids and the teachers and just the regular characters of the show (even though I also loved Gwyneth Paltrow and Carol Burnett's performances. I also really like John Stamos, but I've noticed many people don't - why is that? ). Did anyone notice the parallels between last week's episode and the episode "Sectionals" from season one? I had noticed a couple: Will and Emma talking in front of the bus before leaving for the competition and Sam and Quinn coming out from the back like Rachel did when she sang "Don't Rain On My Parade" and then again during regionals with Rachel and Finn. On the "What Would Emma Pillsbury Wear" blog there's a great post pointing out all the similarities between both episodes, if anyone cares to read, here it is: Sectionals vs. Sectionals Even though I thought Rachel and Finn singing "Faithfully" was awesome and better than this season's sectionals duet, I did like Sam and Quinn singing "Time of My Life", it was fun. I also like the new kid Blaine, he has a really good voice. Oh and Kurt and Rachel's take on "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was thoroughly enjoyable. Loved Rachel singing on the balcony, ha! My favorite part, though, was Mercedes and Tina getting solos at the end with "Dog Days Are Over". Tomorrow's episode is the last one before a two-month hiatus. I was hoping there would be no hiatus this time, oh well! And now I will shut up before anyone falls asleep, if they haven't already

Well, I thought tonight's episode was just very sweet . Yes, Brittany may be a bit too naive, but she's so sweet! I loved the part when the Glee kids went to see Santa and sat on his lap. Brittany saying that Santa was very tanned and him saying it's because up in the North Pole there's a hole in the ozone layer was hilarious. All of the kids' requests were very funny. And I just love Becky! She is Sue's perfect little minion but she's also adorable. Oh, and coach Beiste has to be the best addition to the second season of the show. Dot-Marie Jones is brilliant. Can't wait for the new episodes.

Y' know? There are those rare occasions when it's almost a given that an actor/actress was almost "born" to play/slip into the skin of a character in the movies or on TV. Jack Nicholson was one, as he played The Joker in Batman. Another that comes to mind was Shelley Duvall as she mastered being Olive Oyl in that older-ish film Popeye. Without question, another needs to be added to that list, yes ? Who better suited to play The Grinch than Jane Lynch slash Sue Sylvester? "I don't hate Christmas, Will. I just hate you!" Yep, I was rolling. What a great episode, all-around. So much heart in it that I was over the moon watching it all. I, too, am now 100% convinced that Miss Beiste is the level best addition to the cast that could have happened this year ! And to see the look on Artie's face as he stood up and took a step or two? Priceless, I tell ya. Priceless.

I watched it! I never miss an episode of Glee, and I'm bummed out that now we have to wait four weeks for a new episode! But yes, last night's episode was just perfect. *Spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen "Original Songs" yet* The original songs the kids wrote were just hilarious. All of them. Rachel singing about being "the only Berry on the family tree" . Santana's "ode" to Sam's mouth, haha! Poor Sam, he looked mortified. But Santana sounded awesome singing that song! She's come a long way since season one. And Puck's song to Lauren was sweet and funny at the same time. And Mercedes's song... it was perfect for her. I also loved all of the Warblers' numbers and Rachel singing "Get It Right" was amazing. Lea Michele has such a beautiful voice. And funnily enough, I like "Loser Like Me" more now after watching New Directions performing the song at Regionals. Oh, and Aural Intensity's very cheearleding-like and religious number? Very funny stuff! And you could totally tell Sue was their coach, haha I loved this episode because it was very well-balanced. It had character development, great musical numbers, witty and funny dialogue, and Sue being just mean old (and hilarious) Sue. And I loved Kurt singing "Blackbird". Chris Colfer can do no wrong, and to take on a Beatles song no less and do it so well. And what about Darren Criss? He was excellent. When he's watching Kurt singing, the look on his face says it all. And then the very sweet scene that follows that. I take my hat off to both of them! Have you been watching all the new episodes, Matthew? I often check Glee's forum over at IMDB and people complain so much over there. But I think the show is just as good as when it started.

I just started watching this show since it's available streaming from Netflix and I'm home with a newborn. It's very good! I wish I'd started watching it from the beginning.

I'm really looking forward to the new episodes as well! Although this hiatus isn't as long as the other ones we've had to endure, April 19th can't come fast enough. I also read they're doing more Lady Gaga songs (I read it's going to be "Born This Way"), it should be great! And besides Holly Holiday and Terri coming back (totally agree with you, Matthew, yay for Terri, she's mean and manipulative, but her character is a great part of the show) April Rhodes is also coming back! I LOVE Kristin Chenoweth, so I'm really happy she's back. And Beth, first of all, congratulations on your baby!!! I can see from your avatar that she's absolutely beautiful Congratulations again! And it's a good thing Netflix started streaming "Glee", now you can catch up on it!
