I have not watched the episode yet, but I couldn't help it; I have looked it up on wikipedia and finally know which character is dying. haha. It was a pretty good episode...one of those episodes where they were trying for an Emmy nod for Jane Lynch (which she'll no doubt get).

Ohh, Matthew! I avoided websites such as Wikipedia like the plague so I wouldn't find out who died before I watched the episode. Although there weren't many possibilities, I still just wanted to find out while watching it and not beforehand.
I loved, loved tonight's episode... but then again, this is my favorite show so I love every episode of it, hehe. And I agree with Pyonir, Jane Lynch was exceptional. I must admit I bawled like a baby in two particular scenes (guess you all know which ones).
The songs were wonderful and all four of the Glee kids auditioning for the lead song were outstanding, but if I had to vote, I'd go with Rachel. Lea Michele did an amazing rendition of "My Man". Babs should be proud.
Next week, Nationals! Oooh, I cannot wait!!

My opinion on the solos, is that Mercedes knocked it out of the park. That was the best vocal performance she's had on the show, IMHO. Lea was great too though as was Kurt and Santana. I'm not a fan of either show tunes or Amy Winehouse, so really didn't relate much to those songs though.

Finally watched the episode. My favorite song is Santana's "Back to Black" and Mercedes' "Try a Little Tenderness". I agree with pyonir; best vocal performance. I also love "Pure Imagination". And oh, don't we love that adorable Becky? Sue has a heart, too. She said "good luck" to Will. Oh, how sweet is that? Can't wait for Nationals next week. Do you think New Directions will win? My prediction is that they placed second. Season 1: Won Sectionals, Lost Regionals. Season 2: Won Sectionals, Won Regionals, Lost Nationals. Season 3: Won Sectionals, Won Regionals, Won Nationals. But that's a bit too predictable, lol. Regardless of the result, let's hope that there'll be some great music in the final episode of season two.

So what did you all think of the season finale? Even though it felt a bit rushed (it should have lasted at least another half hour, like the "Born This Way" episode), I really liked it. Favorite parts: *don't keep reading if you haven't watched the season finale yet* -The 360ş shot of Times Square and Rachel saying "I made it!" -Brittany and Artie singing "My Cup". Lol, what a cute song! And so funny too -Kurt and Rachel having "Breakfast at Tiffany's" -Finn and Rachel meeting Patti Lupone at Sardi's! -Rachel giving some needed support to Sunshine. I thought that was good of Rachel and she definitely redeemed herself after what she had done to Sunshine in the first episode of season two. -Finchel kiss at the end of their duet. Sure, it cost them the competition but it was dramatic and something you'd expect to happen in the season finale. And also, it was sweet, lol -Blaine saying "I love you" to Kurt and him saying it back. The way Blaine said it and the way he looks at Kurt when he's talking... so much love there. Sooo cute, love them. Please Ryan, Ian, Brad... never end this couple! -Sam and Mercedes!!! YES! So so happy Mercedes got herself a boyfriend. It was about time, too. I'm really looking forward to seeing these two together next season. -Finchel getting back together. I'm so going to miss "Glee" until it starts again. I know there are many different opinions on season two, but I loved it. I got way more into the show and I'm already really looking forward to season three!

I agree with you, mink. I think they should have split it into two episodes, "New York", where the glee club members having fun exploring New York; and "Nationals", where the real competition took place. Ah, Sam and Mercedes. An awkward couple, but I do feel happy for Mercedes. Yes! Finally it's Finchel again, hooray! I remember Quinn said she was going to do something in New York at the end of the 21st episode? What's that? I don't think I saw something done by Quinn in the season finale episode? IMO, "Bring Up the World" and "Pretending" are pale in comparison to "Losers Like Me" and "Get It Right", the two original songs they sang for Regionals. Ah, can't wait for season 3. I am sure there'll be new characters introduced.

I'm sorry to hear that, pyonir! I hope it's better now!! I remember Quinn said she was going to do something in New York at the end of the 21st episode? What's that? I don't think I saw something done by Quinn in the season finale episode? I wondered that myself. Apparently, all of Quinn's plans were traded for a haircut. Remember that scene where Quinn gets out of the bathroom all mad and frustrated? And Santana convinces her that things would get better if she got a haircut I thought that was a very silly subplot and a bit of a letdown, since they made us believe she would do something 'big' at Nationals. But it's okay, it's "Glee" so it's all good, lol Can't wait for season three either! Are you guys going to check out "The Glee Project"? It looks interesting.

Now that the season is over, I'm hoping that Heather Morris and Naya Rivera do some other projects or movies. I have to admit I have a fascination with Heather Morris.

I have to admit I have a fascination with Heather Morris. Haha I'm a girl but I'll say she has a great body. Must come from being a professional dancer! I read that Naya Rivera got a record deal. That should be good!

Season 3 starts on September 20th! I cannot wait!! I've lived on "Glee" reruns and interviews, articles, etc this past three months, hehe. Has anyone seen the new promo for this season? Here it is. So Pyonir, Matthew, Gatsby and everyone else who watches the show, will you be tuning in when it comes back on?

Yes, I watched "The Glee Project"! I thought it was good and I'm glad that Damian won 7 episodes. Samuel is alright but not my favorite, hopefully his character will be interesting. Lindsay has a great voice and it's good she got a two-episode arc. Alex sings very well but he was probably my least favorite contestant throughout the competition... he seems to be too cocky and that annoys me. What did you think of the show, Matthew? *Spoilers*. If you don't like hearing any details about the new season, stop reading. I read that Damian will be introduced as a foreign exchange student (not much of a surprise there!) and that he will be staying at Brittany's house. Here's the exact quote from E! Online: Damian Is Coming! Damian will be the first winner to appear on the Glee mothership. He plays an exchange student named Rory, and will show up in episode four. He will be staying with...wait for it...Brittany's (Heather Morris) family! I'm told Santana is decidedly not pleased about this. Think of all the jokes that will come from Brittany not being able to understand his accent. Haha, that sounds very promising!

Okay fellow Gleeks, what did you all think of the season premiere tonight? I loved it! Oh, how I missed "Glee" this past few months! Where to start? All the music numbers were really great! I especially loved "Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do". They did such an awesome job with that mash-up! And I love the fact that they did a lot of Broadway music in just one episode. Lindsay Pearce was excellent. I wish she had won the 7-episode arc over Samuel, but oh well. I love tap dance so I was really looking forward to the "Anything Goes" number and it was fantastic and quite realistic, considering it was done by "high school kids". Perfect. I also really liked Kurt and Rachel's cute and sweet "Ding-Dong The Witch Is Dead". Even though it wasn't as spectacular as the other number (it wasn't supposed to be) it was so much fun to watch! I'm loving Kurt and Rachel's friendship. At last, Blaine is a full New Directions member now. Yay!! Darren Criss is one talented kid so I think it's great he's in McKinley now and that we'll get to see more of his character and his interactions not only with Kurt but with the rest of the kids as well. Will and Emma are living together now? Wow, that was one big step forward. Didn't see that one coming right away either. Can't wait to see where their relationship goes. I have to say I'm not crazy about "bad" Quinn... I hope her rebel phase goes away soon. Really soon. Sue is back to her old self! As hateful as she is... I love her character. Oh, and the confrontation between Becky and Santana? Hilarious. Speaking of Santana, I was surprised Schue kicked her out of the club, but honestly, she deserved it. Although seeing her leave made me a bit sad. I love it when Santana sings. Naya Rivera is an excellent performer. And finally, what do you all think of the new characters? We didn't get to see much of Mercedes' new boyfriend, but he seems sweet. And Sugar Motta, I'm not sure what to make of her just yet, but she reminds me of the Marisa Tomei character in "My Cousin Vinny" and that can't be a bad thing, right? Hehe. Okay, I know, I wrote too much. It's just that I'm really glad my favorite show is back and none of my friends watch it so I have no one to talk to about it. So I'm glad we have this thread here

Sorry for the late reply, minkpenny. I like Damien's personality and Alex's voice. Lindsay has a really great voice as well. I also think Alex is too arrogant and self-centered. I don't think I like Samuel though. I would like to replace Samuel with Cameron. Cameron could play a Christian character, as I quote Ryan. He says a conservative Christian character is what is lacking in the show at the moment. Now, back to the season 3 premiere. I like the song by Lindsay, and also the number at the end of the episode. I have not heard of any of the songs featured in the episode though. Hm, Sugar Motta? You know, when she told Mr. Shue that she could sing better than the rest of the people in New Directions, I really thought that she could sing. But when she opened her mouth and started to sing her version of "Big Spender"... Oh! The horror! Lol, but it was definitely hilarious. I am looking forward to hearing more 'ugly voice' from her, haha. Lauren left New Directions. No biggie. But I am sad to see Sam left McKinley. He sings really well, and I think he looks better with his new hairstyle (not the old Bieber-lish hair style), as seen in the Glee 3D concert movie. Yay, Blaine is in New Directions. I am so happy. I hope there will be more duets from him and Rachel. I love their "Don't You Want Me" (the song they sang when Rachel held a party in her house). Next episode, "I am Unicorn".
