What did everyone think of Tuesday's episode? I loved it. It was packed with so many things! Great numbers and songs, great storylines, continuity, it was just great. After the episode aired, everyone who watches the show started taking sides (with Finn or Santana). Finn is one of my favorite characters so I may be biased, but Santana has always been mean and in this episode she took it too far. She kept saying rude things to Finn and then after dodgeball, she was vicious to poor Rory. Yes, the other Troubletones joined in on that as well, but why did they feel the need to pelt the poor new kid? That was really uncalled for and Santana seemed to enjoy it way too much. But see, one of the reasons I love this show is that during the scene when Will, Sue and Burt talk to Santana about what that horrible politician did, I felt sorry for her. So she did all these horrible things but then you end up feeling bad for her. It didn't last long for me though, because then she went and slapped Finn and I went back to not liking her. I'm glad Rachel and Kurt are friends again. They're cute as best friends And also great to see Shelby put Quinn in her place. Quinn is such a train wreck right now. It's awful! As for the musical numbers, I loved the Adele mash-up. The Troubletones were amazing but I loved the New Directions' number just as much. It was hilarious! Those 80's costumes, the mustaches, the funny steps, yeah, it was great . I also enjoyed Will and Shelby's duet. I liked the way those two songs came together.

Thought the music was pretty good. I, too, liked the Adele mash-up as well as the Hall and Oats one. Thought the Hot for Teacher performance was pretty good, albeit a bit obvious. The political ads, while mean spirited, are hilarious. I kind of like that they put Santana "out there", as it should create an interesting storyline.

I loved the Adele songs as well. Although, I come at the rest of the episode from a different view, because I am not a fan of Finn's. I think his voice is among the weakest (and the most auto-tuned), and the writers have made him too wishy-washy for me to grasp a consistent liking for him. I am glad Santana was outed, because it means more scenes with her, and I think Naya is crazy talented. Between Naya, Heather Morris, Darren Criss and Lea -- I am a happy camper. Idina Menzel just opens her mouth, and I get happy, I think she is so incredibly talented.

Oh wow! Tonight's episode was just excellent. What did you all think?? I especially love the episodes in which they compete (Sectionals, Regionals, Nationals) and this one was no exception. I thought The Troubletones were great, but I wanted New Directions to win even before watching the episode, because I had listened to the songs they would sing and they were so good! So I was team New Directions all the way Harmony's group -The Unitards, lol- was wonderful as well! Lindsay is so talented, she did a great job with "Buenos Aires"! (So happy they've sung "Don't Cry For Me Argentina" and "Buenos Aires" on Glee, I must admit!) But New Directions were the best, in my opinion. The choreography was amazing and so were the songs. I have to admit it made me sad not to see Rachel up there with the rest of the kids (she's one of my favorite characters), but I'm so glad that Mike and Tina got featured prominently during a competition song. And I loved how they closed Mike's storyline with his father It was very reminiscent of "Dead Poets Society", but with a happy ending. And Sam is back!! The whole scene with him and Finn and Rachel at that bar was hilarious! It's great to see him back at McKinley. Really looking forward to seeing what he does to win Mercedes back. Also glad to see Quinn has toned down the craziness. She was starting to get on my nerves. Rachel was so right about everything she said to her. Nice to see they're becoming friends What will happen to Shelby now, I wonder? She made a big mistake, but from tonight's episode it seems she's about to resign, which is probably the wisest thing for her to do. Okay, this post was really long, but there were so many things to comment on about tonight's episode! Can't wait to read what everyone else thought.

On a happier note, Helen Mirren, or at least her voice, will be making an appearance!

Oh, yes!! I was surprised when I heard Helen Mirren would be lending her voice to one of the characters! That's so cool! She said she likes the show because it promotes education of the arts She's awesome!

Yes I loved the whole scene of Will proposing to Emma. The musical number was so well done. One of my favorites the show has done so far.

All I could think was how much I dislike Nene. I wish people would stop encouraging her.

I did! I loved all of the musical numbers, especially "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'", "Bad" and "Smooth Criminal". I'm very glad the ratings went up! I thought the episode was wonderful, I loved it.

Just logged on to the forums (a new time waster!). I've seen all of the epidoses and based on my tastes, experiences, etc, I have to make the following observions:
1. You really have to suspend reality for some story lines. Write and choreograph a number the night before nationals? No wonder you lost! 2. Roz Washington had the best line in a long time in response to Sue's announcing that she was going to have a baby (a storyline that can only be really bad). 3. The nelly boys never land the dreamy ones. 4. Rachel is the most self-absorbed, annoying person in the world. 5. Quinn is better off without Finn. 6. Nothing is better than verbal sparring between Santana and Sue 7. Becky and Brittney should form some sort of unholy alliance. 8. We need more Bieste. 9. Darren Criss nails anything he sings. see: Its Not Unusual 10. There is something creepy about Will asking Finn to be his Best Man. Does he not have a life outside of the school?
Story lines that should be coming up. 1. Kurt gets in at NYATA, Rachel does not. (There's justice on a silver platter!) 2. After Mercedes dumps Shane AND Sam, they'll be short one member. Zikes to the rescue...or that mangy looking guy from the God Squad. 3. Sugar Motta's Father goes Bankrupt. 4. Sue gets Will suspended over something stupid and David Martinez takes over the Glee club where they make the cut at Nationals, but don't win it all. 5. A bunch of graduating students actually leave the show and don't come back....oh wait, that will never happen. See #1 observation.
The 3rd season is back on track after an odd 2nd season, but if it doesn't end strongly, then perhaps it should end.

I agree with most of what you said, but: Rachel is the most self absorbed, annoying person in the world. No way! Rachel used to be very self-centered and selfish during season one and at the beginning of season two, but she's grown a lot since then. Did you watch the season two finale, in which she apologized to Sunshine and encouraged her to sing her heart out during their Nationals performance? And she's been growing a lot throughout season three. She still has some moments here and there, mostly because her ambitions are huge, but she's definitely matured and become a better, more sympathetic person. That's what I think, anyway

Yes way! She may have some brief flashes of decency (like apologizing when she has nothing to lose), but she still spends most of her time looking out for herself. Remember when she was dual-cast with Mercedes for the musical? She said, "You'll have matinees and I'll have the evening shows" Pretty presumptuous in my book. I also like that the crew one sectionals without her. Perhaps she will learn that she's not the one who makes the group competitive.

Mercedes was the worst diva of the two of them in the West Side Story plot. I do remember Rachel saying that, and I think it was mostly done as a recurring joke, she does believe she's destined to be a star, after all. But Mercedes didn't want to share the main role of Maria with Rachel, whereas Rachel seemed to be content to share it with Mercedes and even congratulated her. But what did Mercedes do? She rejected the dual role and left New Directions. Biggest diva moment she's had on the show so far.
And Rachel does make the group competitive. You may not like her, but she's the co-captain of the Glee Club and she's one of the best singers. She can carry a solo perfectly, as we've seen during Sectionals in season one and Regionals in seasons two and three. I loved New Directions' set list for Sectionals this year and they were awesome, I agree. But Rachel is a crucial member of the club. Do you remember how Sebastian wanted her to drop out of the competition in "On My Way", because he wanted The Warblers to win? I'm not saying the rest of the club isn't important, they're all valuable, but she was the one he feared the most.
