Are any of you thinking of, or planning a way to make this date work 'wonders' for you? It is the last single didget, triple number date, for a LONG time. Thoughts?

I backed horse Number 9, in the ninth race, and I bet $9 at odds of 9-1.

It finished ninth...

Not only does the date look good in marketing promotions, but it also represents the last set of repeating, single-digit dates that we'll see for almost a century (until January 1, 2101), or a millennium (mark your calendars for January 1, 3001), depending on how you want to count it.

...and you were out $9. Especially since there were only nine horses.

Number Nine is very lucky in Chinese, it is a homophone of the word for "longlasting" and is often used in weddings. As it happens we have a break from racing at the moment. It is too hot until the middle of this month.Otherwise I am sure the ' nines' would have done well.

It's an old friend's birthday - thanks for the reminder, I just went and sent her an email. She'll be getting a kick out of the day.

"Nine is very lucky in Chinese, it is a homophone of the word for "longlasting""

And just along the waters, in Japan, the number 9 is unlucky as it is homophone of the word for "death".

The Beatles remastered box set, the Beatles mono box set and the Beatles Rock Band video game...

It's the perfect day (albeit an expensive one...)

I much prefer "longlasting" to "death!"

It didn't do me a lot of good in the casino. Spent a little, lost the same! Oh well, tomorrow is: 09/10/09...

My goodness, Nicole Richie and her husband certainly chose an "interesting" name for their baby boy, who arrived on 09/09/09. I read several articles quoting numerologists, that this was an incredibly auspicious birth date. I have very high brow taste in tabloid reading material.

Sparrow James Midnight Madden was born early Wednesday morning. I suppose it rhymes a tiny bit with Harlow.. the name of Sparrow's big sister.

If I were going to name my son after a bird, I would choose something a bit more masculine, like Hawk, Eagle or Condor.

How about Phoenix? He'll probably spend his life trying to rise from the ashes of that moniker! LOL!

Sparrow? Come on! I like all the other names, but Sparrow, right in front? Poor kid!
Good for you, ren! Any win is better than a loss.

I was thinking the same thing lady -- and then we'll have 11/11/11. Oh well, maybe next year (10-10-10) they will predict all our computers crashing.
