If this question is for a quiz for money prizes, you are at the wrong web site.

Actually, I can see his/her frustration. From a web search, the question appeared in a quiz posted on a message board (not FT) on 02 Jan 2007. The board closed soon after the post with no obvious answer. No money involved in that instance at least. Anyone have an explanation or alternative answer. It isn't clear to me where the 'Iraq, Iraq' came from.

Happy Trivia!

It's not a question for "money prizes," (whatever those are), but was one of Ken Jennings' Tuesday Trivia back in January of 2007. I'm a bit vexed, as "Iraq" doesn't seem to make any sense. It's just one of those things that's been lingering on the brain. As I said before, any help would be appreciated.

Aha! I originally thought it must be some obscure sports question, but I finally realized it has to do with the 7 Wonders of the Ancient World. Two were located in Greece, two in Egypt, two in Turkey, and one in Iraq (the Hanging Gardens of Babylon). So there you have it.

Happy Explained Trivia!

I was stymied as well, so thanks for the answer to that puzzler!

I thought the original question said the next in the sequence was Iraq, Iraq so is there another natural wonder from Iraq? When I saw this yesterday I googled Greece, Turkey, Egypt and Iraq twice as it appeared here but only found results in travel links.

Well done JM. Why not stick around Krizzy, it's a good place to learn lots, as well as make friends.
