That's probably just what I'd expect HK to look like, Ren here's a colourful little fella sitting on the dog water bowl. I'd just call him a grass parrot but I'm sure he's got a more precise name. (maybe Peter? ) (edit to ad: Our insects might be dull but our birds make up for it, Mags! )

Copago, you sure do have colourful birds! This fellah is gorgeous. I remember your galahs too, so pretty. Aww Mr. Pheasant, you are very colourful too. Ren, I enjoyed your candid shot of the fruit vendors. Sherry, glad to see you back - lovely serene shot.

Our pheasants are not that colour, how odd. Did a Google and yours isn't the normal one we see everywhere, they are more like these on this site. http://www.rspb.org.uk/wildlife/birdguide/name/p/pheasant/I did find something calling itself an 'ornamental pheasant' which was in bright colours and the golden pheasant too.

Are you doing anything to the colour of these old pics, Paul? They look so vibrant!

Kidley has a most intelligent air about him, Jill. What a sweetie. I went to lunch at the Football Club and it is an interesting 1930's building. The windows depict different sports. Here is the football one.

No, I'm not tweaking the color; in the case of the fire photo, that's good old Kodachrome for you. Since the slide was a bit under-exposed (this was taken just around twilight), I did have to lighten it, but you'd get the same result by holding it up to a bright light, or having a strong bulb in your slide projector (remember those?).

No, no, no, I don't remember them at all and I will deny ever knowing about something from soooo long ago. Those toadstool really exist? I thought they were reserved for places with stories of elves and pixies! Beautiful pic, Ren. Is there a cricket one?
