Wow! It's Rosebud!

It's hard to believe it's nearly November. I haven't worn a jumper or jacket all week and children were playing in the sea today! But a walk in the woods shows the leaves are turning.....

Another one of Harrow School, obviously the church.

Bit of everything here .. our sheep in the background, a feral goat on the left and there in the foreground are a mob of feral piglets. Couldn't see the sow any where. Pigs are becoming a real problem at the moment, I have seen more in the last couple months than I've seen in a decade. We've had to call in some friends who are professional hunters to try and thin them out a bit.

Thousands of waders can be seen at dusk at this time of the year at the RSPB Reserve at Snettisham. Here are some from yesterday's spectacular - sanderlings, I think.

The clocks have changed and the heathland has turned brown. Still good to be out there though.

Once London ends the countryside is just the same however far out you go. This is where it begins in Finchley which is only about 9 miles from the centre.

St James Cathedral in downtown Toronto, which has a nice little park and gardens right next to it.

OK, one more scanned photo. This is Mount Rushmore taken in 2002 or 2003. (Bugs me I can't remember exactly which year ).

Here are some of my favourite style 1960s houses in Teddington. I haven't a clue what the white boxes are, it could be for pigeons, plumbing, generators, mother in law, modern art, health and safety style balcony, disaster supplies, bins (if the plans were read upside down) or stationery cupboards, but doubt it.

Here's Precious, looking ever so innocent, as she is, most of the time. During tonight's trick or treating session she gave me a fright, though, dashing out into the dark as I was giving out candy. She seems not to know that she's an indoor cat...



Luckily, the mother of one of the little hobgoblins had better night vision than I do, and was able to spot Precious and deliver her to me, to be petted by the two children patiently waiting for their candy.
